Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are an American professional basketball team based in Los Angeles. The Lakers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as a member of the league’s Western Conference in the Pacific Division. The Lakers play their home games at Staples Center, an area shared with the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers and NHL’s Los Angeles Kings. The franchise began with the 1947 purchase of a disbanded team, the Detroit Gems of the National Basketball League (NBL). The new team began play in Minneapolis, calling themselves the Minneapolis Lakers. Initially a member of the NBL, the Lakers won the 1948 NBL championship before joining the rival Basketball Association of America (BAA), where they would win five of the next six championships, led by star George Mikan. After struggling financially in the late 1950s following Mikan’s retirement, they relocated to Los Angeles before seasons completing 60 seasons in Southern California.
The Lakers hold numerous franchise records. They have won 16 NBA championships, their last being in 2010.[1][2] As of 2020, they hold the second-most wins in NBA history with 3,111[3] behind their arch-rival, Boston Celtics and hold a hundred-game winning streak,[4] second only to Golden State Warriors’ 125 straight games won from 2015 to 2017. When considering regular season and playoff records together, they are also first all-time with 3,485 combined wins.[5][6] The team has played 4,120 regular season games,[7] winning 2,662 resulting in a winning percentage of 64.5%. In 100 playoff games[8] over thirty rounds (thirty-nine appearances),[9][10] they have a record 96–29 (.768) for 81 series played.[11] NBC Sports states that as of 2019–20 , “[the Lakers’] .578 win percentage is tops among losing teams”.[12][13][14][15]
Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have won the most NBA titles with seventeen Championship wins. They have also appeared in the NBA Finals ten times, more than any other team in the NBA. The Celtics have a long-standing rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers, and the two teams have met twelve times in the NBA Finals, with the Celtics winning nine of those meetings.
Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors are an American professional basketball team based in Oakland, California. The Warriors compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Western Conference Pacific Division. Founded in 1946 in Philadelphia, the Warriors relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1962 and took the city’s name, before changing its geographic moniker to Golden State in 1971. They play their home games at the Oracle Arena.

The Chicago Bulls are a professional basketball team based in Chicago, Illinois. They play in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Bulls have won six NBA championships, including four consecutive titles between 1996 and 1998.
San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs have won the most NBA titles, with five championships to their name. They last won the title in 2014, when they beat the Miami Heat in the Finals. The Spurs have also appeared in the Finals on six other occasions, losing in 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2013.
