American League
The American League (AL) is one of the two major leagues of professional baseball in the United States and Canada, the other being the National League (NL), which contains 15 teams in each league. The AL and NL operated as separate legal entities from 1901 and 1876 respectively. After cooperating but remaining legally separate entities beginning in 1903, the leagues merged into a single organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball in 2000.

Since their establishment as a major league franchise in 1901, the Indians have won two World Series championships: in 1920 and 1948, along with nine Central Division titles and six American League pennants.

National League
The National League playoff teams are the Milwaukee Brewers, Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Atlanta Braves. These teams have fought hard all season and have earned their spot in the playoffs.
Arizona Diamondbacks
The Arizona Diamondbacks, often shortened as the D-backs, are an American professional baseball team based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Diamondbacks compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) West division, and are one of two MLB teams in Arizona; the other is the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL).
Chicago Cubs
Led by manager Joe Maddon, the Cubs won the National League Central division title for the third consecutive season. The Cubs finished the regular season with a record of 92–70, four games ahead of the second-place Milwaukee Brewers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are a professional baseball team based in Los Angeles, California. The Dodgers compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) West division. Established in 1883 in Brooklyn, New York, the team moved to Los Angeles before the 1958 season. They played for four seasons at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before moving to Dodger Stadium, their current home, in 1962.

Washington Nationals
The Washington Nationals are an American professional baseball team based in Washington, D.C. The Nationals compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) East division. From 2005 to 2007, the team played in RFK Stadium; since 2008 their home stadium has been Nationals Park, located on South Capitol Street in Southeast D.C., near the Anacostia River.
