Owen Hart

Owen James Hart (May 7, 1965 – May 23, 1999) was a Canadian-American professional wrestler who worked for several promotions including Stampede Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and most famously for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE).

Hart was born in Calgary, Alberta, into a wrestling family. He was the son of Stampede Wrestling promoter and WWE Hall of Famer Stu Hart and Helen Hart and brother of wrestlers Bret and Keith. He is also a second cousin of Diana, Owen’s mother and Bruce Hart’s wife.

Hart began his wrestling career in his father’s promotion: Stampede Wrestling in Calgary. He briefly wrestled in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) as Blue Dragon. In 1986/1987 he toured with Andre the Giant to Australia where they wrestle under NWA rules against The Sheepherders. His first prominent wrestling angle was with Tiger Mask over the WWF Junior Heavyweight Championship which culminated in a match at Madison Square Garden that Suzuki won.

In 1988 he joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), initially appearing on Saturday Night’s Main Event as Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart’s tag team partner before beginning a solo career as “The Blue Blazer”. As The Blue Blazer he feuded with Bret “The Hitman” Hart over the WWF Intercontinental Championship with both men trading wins back and forth until 1989 when The Blue Blazer unmasked himself on an episode of Prime Time Wrestling to reveal Owen Hart beneath the mask. This marked the beginning of Owen’s singles career which would see him become one of the most popular Superstars of his era winning multiple championships including the WWF Intercontinental Championship twice and Tag Team Championships on three occasions alongside Yokozuna, Jeff Jarrett and The British Bulldog respectively.

In May 1999 while being lowered from the rafters of Kemper Arena in Kansas City Missouri as part of his entrance Owen fell 78 feet to his death due to a equipment malfunction. His death was ruled an accident.

Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero was one of the most beloved WWE Superstars of all time. He was known for his incredible in-ring abilities, his larger-than-life personality, and his ability to connect with the WWE Universe.
