Some of these wrestlers have had to battle leukemia, and have done so with courage and grace. In this article, we will take a look at some of the WWE wrestlers who have been diagnosed with leukemia.

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio, real name Óscar Gutiérrez, is a Mexican-American professional wrestler who is currently signed to WWE. He is also a former member of the stable The Filthy Animals. Rey Mysterio’s first match was in 1989, when he was just 14 years old. He has since gone on to wrestle for some of the most prestigious wrestling organizations in the world, including WCW, ECW, and WWE.

In late 2019, it was revealed that Rey Mysterio had been diagnosed with leukemia. This came as a shock to many fans, as Rey Mysterio is only 45 years old. While there is no cure for leukemia, it is possible to put the disease into remission. It is unclear at this time what treatment Rey Mysterio is receiving or how his health is progressing.

Eddie Guerrero

Eddie Guerrero was an American professional wrestler who found success in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
Guerrero held various championships within WWE, including the WWE Championship and the WWE United States Championship. He was also a one-time Intercontinental Champion, a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion, and a two-time WCW/World Champion. Guerrero’s gimmick was that of “Latino Heat”, a crafty, resourceful babyface wrestler who would do anything to win.
He debuted in ECW in 1995 as the “mysterious” Latino Causing Havoc; he feuded with Taz over the ECW Heavyweight Championship and left ECW with Chris Benoit to join WCW in January 1996. After losing a match to Dean Malenko for WCW’s Cruiserweight Championship at The Great American Bash 1996 due to interference by Malenko’s father, Hiroko, Guerrero became a fan favorite. He defeated Malenko for the title at Halloween Havoc later that year.
Guerrero left WCW in 2000 due to creative frustrations; he joined WWE after being invited by Stephanie McMahon. There, Guerrero gained notoriety as “Latino Heat”, culminating in his winning the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar at No Way Out 2004 after Lesnar accidentally knocked out referee Earl Hebner while attempting Guerrero’s signature slingshot powerbomb maneuver on him. Guerrero subsequently won the match via pinfall with a small package.
In November 2005, Guerrero lost the WWE title due to interfering in John Cena’s match with Kurt Angle; as per the stipulation of the match, he was required to leave WWE for good if he failed to win the title.
Later that month at Survivor Series however, he returned under his real name as part of Team Angle against Team Cena; he pinned Chris Masters before being forced to submit to an ankle lock by Cena.
Cena retired Guerrero by pinning him following an FU; both men later named this match as their favorite encounter against each other.
Guerrero died on November 13, 2005 after suffering acute heart failure in Minnesota at age 38 due to underlying atherosclerosis aggravated by hypertension and his prior history of cocaine use…

Bret “Hitman” Hart was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is the eldest son of Stu and Helen Hart. Growing up in the Hart wrestling household, Bret, along with his brothers and sisters, learned the values of hard work and dedication at an early age. Under the tutelage of their father, Bret and his siblings became highly skilled athletes. Bret is a multiple-time World Champion, having held WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship five times and WWE’s Intercontinental Championship twice. He is also a two-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, and a one-time WCW World Television Champion.

In 2010, Bret was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his longtime friend “Superstar” Billy Graham. On January 13, 2010, Bret’s autobiography Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling was released and became a New York Times Best Seller.
