Who’s left in the playoffs?

The NFL playoffs are down to the final four teams: the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Patriots, who are looking to defending their Super Bowl title, are the No. 2 seed in the AFC and will host the No. 3 seed Chiefs in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.

The Rams, who are appearing in their first NFC Championship game since 2001, are the No. 2 seed in the NFC and will travel to take on the top-seeded Saints in New Orleans on Sunday.

What are the matchups?

The NFL playoffs are down to the final four teams. In the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Buffalo Bills, while in the NFC, the Green Bay Packers will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here’s a look at the matchups:

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills
The Chiefs are coming off a bye week after finishing with the best record in the AFC at 14-2. They’ll be taking on a Bills team that earned the No. 2 seed in the AFC after going 13-3 during the regular season. The Chiefs will have home-field advantage for this matchup.

This will be a rematch of a Week 6 game in which the Chiefs beat the Bills 26-17. In that game, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 300 yards and two touchdowns, while Bills quarterback Josh Allen threw for 211 yards and one touchdown.

The Chiefs are favorites to win this game, but the Bills have shown they can compete with anyone this season. It should be a great matchup between two of the best teams in the AFC.

Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Packers are coming off a divisional round win over the Los Angeles Rams, while the Buccaneers advanced to the conference championship game with a win over the New Orleans Saints. This will be a rematch of a Week 6 game in which the Buccaneers beat the Packers 38-10.

In that game, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady threw for 369 yards and five touchdowns, while Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for just 160 yards and one touchdown. The Packers offense has struggled at times this season, but they showed they can still put up points when they need to by scoring 48 points against the Rams last week.

The Buccaneers are heavy favorites to win this game and advance to Super Bowl 55, but anything can happen in

AFC

The Cincinnati Bengals, who many wrote off after a 1-3 start, are the only team in the AFC with a chance to make the playoffs. To do so, they’ll need to win their final four games and get some help from other teams. The Bengals have been one of the hottest teams in the NFL over the last month, and they appear to be peaking at the right time.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston region. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is 28 miles (45 km) southwest of downtown Boston.

The Patriots are also headquartered at Gillette Stadium. An original member of the American Football League (AFC), the Patriots joined the NFL in the 1970 merger of the two leagues. The team changed its name from the original Boston Patriots after relocating to Foxborough in 1971. The Patriots played their home games at Foxboro Stadium from 1971 to 2001, then moved to Gillette Stadium at the start of 2002 season. Between 2002 and 2017, the Patriots compiled a regular season record of 201–71, with a postseason mark of 34–10 for an overall record of 235–81 Lynn Swann .

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Steelers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) North division. Founded in 1933, the Steelers are the seventh oldest franchise in the NFL, and boast eight AFC Championships and two Super Bowl titles.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football franchise based in Jacksonville, Florida. The Jaguars compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) South division. The team plays its home games at TIAA Bank Field.

The Jaguars and the Carolina Panthers joined the NFL as expansion teams for the 1995 season. Since their inception, the Jaguars have won division championships in 1998 and 1999 (as members of the now-defunct AFC Central) and have qualified for the playoffs seven times, most recently in 2017. The Jaguars have also won four AFC South championships, most recently in 2017.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded in 1960 as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt and was a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City and assumed their current name. The Chiefs joined the NFL as a result of the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The team is valued at over $2 billion. Hunt’s son, Clark, serves as chairman and CEO. While Garoppolo has been one of the league’s most efficient passers this season, the 49ers will be wary of putting too much on him against a Kansas City defense that features one of the best pass rushes in football.

NFC

The National Football Conference (NFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL). This conference consists of 16 teams divided into four divisions.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team that competes in the National Football League (NFL). The Rams franchise was founded in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams in the short-lived second American Football League before joining the NFL the next year. In 1946, the franchise moved to Los Angeles. The Rams franchise remained in the metro area until 1994, when it moved to Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, California. The Rams franchise returned to Los Angeles in 2016, relocating to L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

The Rams franchise has won three NFL championships, and is the only franchise to win championships while representing three different cities (Cleveland, Los Angeles, and St. Louis). The Rams have been featured in two Super Bowls, winning one, and losing the other.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Saints currently compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) South division. The team was founded by John W. Mecom Jr., David Dixon, and the city of New Orleans on November 1, 1966. The Saints began play in Tulane Stadium in 1967.

The name “Saints” is an allusion to November 1 being All Saints Day in the Catholic faith, or, more specifically, to the NFL franchise that preceded the current club in New Orleans, also called the New Orleans Saints. From 1987 to 2001, the Saints were completely revamped, resulting in a new team logo and colors (or gold), as well as a new look for their uniforms. Following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the NFL placed an unprecedented “home-team” moratorium on any changes to their logos or colors through at least the 2006 season; however, following Katrina’s devestation of much of Louisiana and Mississippi (and with Tulane Stadium unusable), on October 25th 2006 it was announced that for one year only – 2007 – that the home games would be moved to Giants Stadium in East Rutherford NJPAC Seats: 55979

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are a professional American football team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Eagles compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) East division. In the 2017 season, the Eagles won Super Bowl LII, their first Super Bowl win in franchise history and their fourth NFL title overall, after winning the Conference Championship against the Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota Vikings

After a disappointing loss to the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round of the playoffs, the Minnesota Vikings will be looking to regroup and make another run at the NFC title in 2019. The Vikings have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL, and with a few key additions, they could be a force to be reckoned with next season.

The biggest question facing the Vikings heading into 2019 is who will be their starting quarterback. Case Keenum did a great job leading the team to the playoffs last season, but he is set to become a free agent. Teddy Bridgewater is also a free agent, and it is uncertain if he will be ready to start next season after suffering a serious knee injury in 2016. The Vikings may look to sign a free agent quarterback or draft one in April.

The other question mark for the Vikings is their offensive line. The unit struggled at times last season, and it will need to be improved if the team wants to make another deep run in the playoffs. The good news for Viking fans is that the team has two first-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft, which should help them address this need.
