Introduction

The Watt brothers are American football players who have all played in the National Football League (NFL). J.J. Watt is a defensive end for the Houston Texans, while Derek Watt is a fullback for the Los Angeles Chargers and T.J. Watt is an outside linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. All three brothers were born in Wisconsin and played college football at Wisconsin schools.

DeAndre Hopkins

The Houston Texans wide receiver, who was born in Central, South Carolina, is the oldest of the three Watt brothers. He played college football at Clemson University, where he was a two-time first-team All-American. After being drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Texans, Hopkins has gone on to have a very successful career. He has been selected for the Pro Bowl three times and was named First-Team All-Pro in 2015. In 2017, he was ranked by his peers as the seventh best player in the NFL.

Jadeveon Clowney

Clowney was the number one overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He is a defensive end for the Houston Texans. He has been named to the Pro Bowl twice in his career.

J.J. Watt

Joseph James “J.J.” Watt (born March 22, 1989) is an American football defensive end for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Texans with the 11th pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and played college football at Wisconsin.

Watt received first-team All-American and All-Big Ten honors in 2010. He led the nation in sacks (21) and was a finalist for the Lombardi Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Bednarik Award, Ted Hendricks Award and Lott IMPACT Trophy. As a junior in 2009, he was voted Badgers Defensive Player of the Year. He recorded 36 tackles for loss, which led all NCAA Division I FBS players and set a Wisconsin single-season record. Watt played various positions on both offense and defense including tight end during his freshman year at Central Michigan University before transferring to Wisconsin following his freshman year.

In his first season with the Texans, he played 10 games (seven starts) and had 20 tackles and five assisted tackles. In 2012, Watt emerged as one of the best defensive players in the NFL.
