Talib is very good at press coverage and has the size (6’1″, 205 lbs) to match up with bigger receivers. Talib had 3 interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 2016.
Chris Harris Jr., Denver Broncos
Chris Harris Jr. was undrafted out of Kansas in 2011, and has since become one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He’s a three-time Pro Bowler, and was a first-team All-Pro in 2016. Harris has 17 interceptions and 60 passes defensed in his career, and he’s also a terrific tackler. He’s one of the key reasons the Broncos have had such a great defense over the past few years.
Marcus Peters, Kansas City Chiefs
Marcus Peters is widely considered one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler and was named First Team All-Pro in 2016. Peters has 22 interceptions in his four NFL seasons, including a league-leading eight in 2015. He’s also an excellent tackler, registering 84 tackles in 2016.
Desmond Trufant, Atlanta Falcons
Desmond Trufant didn’t allow a single touchdown in coverage last season, according to Pro Football Focus, and he has turned into one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.
Trufant, who was drafted by the Falcons in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, has been selected to the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons. He has also been named a Second-Team All-Pro twice.
In 2019, Trufant had three interceptions, 11 passes defensed, and a forced fumble. He also had 47 tackles.

Jason Verrett is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He was drafted by the Chargers in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at TCU, where he was a two-time All-American.
Verrett has been a starter for the Chargers since his rookie year. He has appeared in 39 games, with 36 starts, and has 9 interceptions and 42 passes defended. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2015.
Verrett is known for his shutdown coverage and has been matched up against some of the best receivers in the league. He is considered one of the best young cornerbacks in the NFL and is expected to be a key player for the Chargers defense for years to come.

Xavier Rhodes is an American football cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Vikings in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Florida State.

Kyle Fuller was a first-round pick by the Bears in 2014 and has been one of the best players at his position for some time now. In 2015, he had six interceptions and 21 passes defensed, which was good for second in the NFL. He also had two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
