Bill Belichick – New England Patriots

Belichick is the only head coach in NFL history to win five Super Bowls, and he did it with the same team. He’s also the oldest active head coach in the NFL, at 66 years old.

Pete Carroll – Seattle Seahawks

Throughout his career, Carroll has been one of the most successful and winningest coaches in NFL history. He has led his teams to an impressive 15 playoff appearances, 7 NFC Championship game appearances, and 3 Super Bowl appearances. In his almost 30 years of coaching experience, Carroll has amassed a 182-114 record, good for a .615 win percentage which is 11th all time among head coaches with at least 10 seasons under their belt.

Jon Gruden – Oakland Raiders

At 52 years old, Gruden is the oldest coach in the NFL. He’s been coaching for almost two decades, spending time with the Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles. In his first year back with the Raiders, he led the team to a 6-10 record.

Sean Payton – New Orleans Saints

Payton, who will turn 57 in December, is the NFL’s oldest head coach. He’s been with the Saints since 2006, leading the team to a Super Bowl victory in 2010. Payton has a career regular-season record of 133-106 and has led the Saints to the playoffs seven times.

Mike Tomlin – Pittsburgh Steelers

Mike Tomlin is the current head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a position he has held since 2007. Prior to that, he was the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings. Tomlin is one of the youngest coaches in NFL history, but at just 42 years old, he is already one of the most successful. He has led the Steelers to six division titles, two AFC Championships, and one Super Bowl victory.
