In 2015/2016 offseason , manager Joe Maddon left to manage Chicago Cubs . After missing playoffs for 2 years .The rays went back to playoffs with new manager Kevin Cash(who was pitching coach for rays previously )and lost to Houston Astros with Kevin Kiermaier being named ALCS MVP
