Eastern Conference
In the Eastern Conference, there are a few clear-cut frontrunners for the title of top scorer. First and foremost is Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is averaging an astounding 29.6 points per game. Right behind him is Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Kyrie Irving, who is averaging 28.5 points per game. Rounding out the top three is Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo, who is averaging 27.8 points per game.
Western Conference
The Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of two conferences that makes up the league, the other being the Eastern Conference.Like the Eastern Conference, the Western Conference is made up of 15 teams, organized in three divisions.
The divisional and conference alignment are shown below. For the 2019-20 season, each team plays 82 games, 41 each home and away. A team faces opponents in its own division four times a year (16 games). Each team then meets 10 non-divisional conference opponents twice (20 games), for a total of 76 games. finally, each team plays an additional four games against whichever conference opponents finished in like positions in their own divisions (two from each division, for a total of eight games). These four extra games—the so-called intradivisional games—are identical for all teams in a particular division.
The current divisional alignment has been used since the 2004-05 season. From 1967 until 1984, NBA teams were aligned into two conferences of three divisions each.

MVP Race
The National Basketball Association (NBA) Most Valuable Player Award is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) award given since the 1955–56 season. The winner receives the Maurice Podoloff Trophy, which is named in honor of the first commissioner (then president) of the NBA, who served from 1946 until his retirement in 1963. Until 2011, the award was voted on by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada, each of whom cast a vote for first to fifth place selections.
Eastern Conference
The Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of two conferences that makes up the NBA, the other being the Western Conference. Despite its name, the Eastern Conference is actually located in the geographical center of North America, and thus, its teams play their home games in the eastern and central time zones.
The conference currently has fifteen teams, arranged into three divisions of five teams each. At the end of each NBA season, the three division winners and five wild card teams from each conference qualify for the NBA playoffs. The conference champion then goes on to compete against the champion of the Western Conference in the NBA Finals to determine who will win the NBA championship.
In recent years, the Eastern Conference has been dominated by two teams: The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. Between them, these two teams have won 9 out of the last 10 NBA championships. However, there are several other strong teams in the conference that are looking to dethrone them this season. Here are some of the top contenders:
– Milwaukee Bucks: The Bucks currently sit atop the standings in the Eastern Conference with a record of 60-22. They are led by superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 27.7 points per game this season.
– Toronto Raptors: The Raptors are second in the East with a record of 58-24. They are led by All-Star guard Kawhi Leonard, who is averaging 27.5 points per game this season.
– Philadelphia 76ers: The 76ers are third in the East with a record of 53-29. They are led by All-Star center Joel Embiid, who is averaging 27.5 points per game this season.
Western Conference
In the Western Conference, there is a close race for the MVP title. Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden is leading the pack with an average of 36.4 points per game. However, he is closely followed by Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Paul George, who is averaging 28.6 points per game. Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is not far behind with an average of 27.3 points per game.
