Who Are The Wild Card Teams In The Nfl?

There are a few teams that could be considered “wild card” teams in the NFL this season. The Rams, Panthers, and Saints all have a chance to make a run at the playoffs.

The Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area. They compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The Bills franchise was established in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League (AFL).

Their recent success

In 2015, the Bills enjoyed their best season in over a decade, finishing with a 9–7 record. They ended a streak of fourteen consecutive seasons without a playoff appearance dating back to 1999, which was the longest active drought in the NFL at the time. The Bills were one of three NFL teams (along with the San Diego Chargers and Baltimore Ravens) who failed to make the playoffs during that 14-year span. Rex Ryan was hired as the Bills’ head coach in January 2015. Under Ryan’s leadership, the Bills’ defense finished second overall in yards allowed in 2015.

Their star players

The Buffalo Bills have a lot of star players. Some of them are:
– Quarterback Josh Allen
– Running back LeSean McCoy
– Wide receiver Stefon Diggs
– Tight end Dawson Knox
-Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds
– Cornerback Tre’Davious White
– Safety Micah Hyde

The Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football team based in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The Cardinals compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The Cardinals were founded as the Morgan Athletic Club in 1898, and are the oldest continuously run professional football team in the United States. The Cardinals play their home games at State Farm Stadium, which opened in 2006 and is located in Glendale, Arizona.

The Cardinals were founded as the Morgan Athletic Club in 1898, and are the oldest continuously run professional football team in the United States. The franchise was established in 1920 as the Chicago Cardinals, a charter member of the NFL’s predecessor organization, the American Professional Football Association; they later joined the NFL in 1922. Along with the Chicago Bears, the club is one of two NFL charter member franchises still in operation since 1920.

Their star players

The Arizona Cardinals have a few star players on their team. One of their best players is wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald has been with the Cardinals since 2004 and is currently the team’s all-time leading receiver. He has led the league in receiving touchdowns twice and was named to the Pro Bowl eight times. Another star player on the Cardinals is running back David Johnson. Johnson joined the team in 2015 and has been one of their most consistent players since then. In 2016, he was named to the Pro Bowl and was also named first-team All-Pro.

The Los Angeles Rams

Wild Card teams are the four teams in each conference who did not win their division but did have one of the better records in the conference. In the NFL, the Wild Card teams are the Los Angeles Rams (NFC) and the Houston Texans (AFC).

Their recent success

After years of struggling, the Los Angeles Rams have suddenly become one of the best teams in the NFL. In 2017, they finished with an 11-5 record and won their first division title since 2003. They followed that up with an even better 2018 season, finishing 13-3 and earning a first-round bye in the playoffs.

Their recent success has been led by their young franchise quarterback, Jared Goff. Goff was the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, and he’s already shown himself to be a very capable NFL starter. He’s thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of the last two seasons, and he’s led the Rams to back-to-back NFC West titles.

The Rams also have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Led by defensive tackle Aaron Donald, they finished 2018 as the number one scoring defense in the league. They’re a well-rounded team that’s capable of making a deep run in the playoffs.

Their star players

The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team that competes in the National Football League (NFL). The Rams franchise was founded in 1936 as the Cleveland Rams in the short-lived second American Football League before joining the NFL the next year. In 1946, the franchise moved to Los Angeles. The Rams franchise remained in the metro area until 1994, when they moved to St. Louis. The franchise returned to Los Angeles in 2016.
The Rams organization has three World Championship titles: NFL Championships (pre-1970 AFL–NFL merger) in 1945 and 1951, and Super Bowl LIII in 2018. They are also the only franchise to win a World Championship title while based in three different cities (Cleveland in 1945, Los Angeles in 1951, and St. Louis 2000). Some of their star players include: Aaron Donald, Jared Goff, Todd Gurley II, Ndamukong Suh
and Brandin Cooks.
