Who Gets Into The NFL Playoffs?

The NFL playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the regular season to determine the NFL champion. A total of 12 teams, six from each conference, qualify for the playoffs.

How the NFL Playoff System Works

The NFL playoff system is a tournament that takes place after the end of the regular season to determine which team will represent the National Football League (NFL) in the Super Bowl. The tournament consists of four rounds of single-elimination games. The teams that win each game advance to the next round until there are only two teams left, which compete in the Super Bowl.

The Regular Season

The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major North American professional sports leagues, the highest professional level of American football in the world, the wealthiest professional sport league by revenue, and the sport league with the most valuable teams. The regular season begins on the weekend following Labor Day, and ends in early January. Each team plays 16 games during the regular season from Weeks 1 to 17.

The Playoffs

The NFL playoffs are a single-elimination tournament held after the end of the regular season to determine the NFL champion. Six teams from each of the league’s two conferences qualify for the playoffs based on regular season records, and a tie-breaking procedure exists in the case of ties. seeded first and second in their conference, play each other in the Wild Card round. The winners of those games then compete in the Divisional Round, followed by the Conference Championships, and finally the Super Bowl, the league’s championship game.

Who Makes the Playoffs?

Every year, 12 teams make it into the NFL playoffs. The teams that make it into the playoffs are the ones that have the best record in their respective conference. The conference championship games are played in order to determine who will make it to the Super Bowl. In the AFC, the team with the best record in the conference will play the team with the worst record in the conference.

The NFC

The National Football Conference (NFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL), the highest professional level of American football in the world. This conference and its counterpart, the American Football Conference (AFC), currently contain 16 teams each, making up a total of 32 teams in the NFL.

In order to make the playoffs, a team must have a winning record (more wins than losses) and finish in either first place in their division or as a Wild Card team. The NFC is made up of four divisions: East, West, North, and South. Each division has four teams.

The first thing that you need to know is that each division winner automatically makes the playoffs. So, that means that there are four teams from the NFC that are already in the playoffs: the winners of each division. That leaves 12 other teams fighting for the remaining four spots available.

The next thing to know is that there are two ways for a team to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. First, a Wild Card team could have one of the two best records among all non-division-winning teams. Or second, a Wild Card team could have a better record than any team in their own division (even though they didn’t win their division).

So, if we put all of this information together, we can see that there can be up to 6 teams from any one conference in the playoffs (the 4 division winners plus up to 2 Wild Card teams).

The AFC

In the American Football Conference (AFC), the four division winners and two wild card teams (the two remaining teams with the best records) make the playoffs.

In the AFC, the division winners are seeded 1-4 based on their record, with the #1 seed getting a bye week. The two wild card teams are seeded 5 and 6.

The playoffs start with the wild card round, where the #5 seed plays the #6 seed, and the #4 seed plays the winner of that game. The divisional round then matches up the remaining two teams in each conference (the higher seed playing at home), before sending those conference winners to the AFC and NFC Championship games.

What Happens Next?

The NFL’s regular season has come to an end and now we know who is in the playoffs and who isn’t. The 12 teams that have qualified are the Rams, Saints, Chiefs, Patriots, Chargers, Bears, Seahawks, Cowboys, Texans, Ravens, Colts, and Eagles. These teams will now compete for a chance to go to the Super Bowl. Let’s take a look at how the playoffs work.

The Wild Card Round

In the NFL, the Wild Card Round is the first round of the playoffs. It is played on the weekend following the final regular season game, consisting of four games played on Saturday and two on Sunday. The winners of these games advance to the Divisional Round to play the top seeded teams in each conference.

The four division winners with the best record from each conference are given a bye week and automatically advance to the Divisional Round. These teams are seeded one through four based on their overall record, with the top seed playing the fourth seed and so on.

The Divisional Round

The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs is upon us, and there are some great match-ups this weekend.

In the AFC, the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Houston Texans, while the second-seeded New England Patriots will face off against the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the NFC, the top-seeded New Orleans Saints will take on the Eagles in a rematch of last year’s Divisional Round game, while the second-seeded Rams will face off against the Cowboys.

So who will win these games and advance to the Conference Championships?

It’s tough to say, but we’ll give it a shot.

In the AFC, we like the Chiefs and Patriots to advance. The Chiefs have been one of the best teams in the league all season long, and they have a ton of offensive firepower. The Patriots are always a tough out in the playoffs, and we think they’ll find a way to win against a Chargers team that’s been inconsistent all season long.

In the NFC, we like the Saints and Rams to advance. The Saints have been one of the best teams in the league all season long, and they have a strong defense that can shut down any offense. The Rams have been inconsistent at times this season, but we think they’ll find a way to win against a Cowboys team that has struggled on offense all year long.

The Conference Championships

After the divisional playoffs, the conference championships are held on the first Sunday in January. The winners of these games advance to the Super Bowl. The conference champions receive conference championship rings.

The Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is the biggest and most important American football game of the year. It is the annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL). The game is played by the two best teams in the NFL, one from the National Football Conference (NFC) and one from the American Football Conference (AFC). The winning team receives the Vince Lombardi Trophy, which is named after the famous coach who led the Green Bay Packers to victory in the first two Super Bowls.
