Kyler Murray

In high school, he was named Gatorade Football Player of the Year and Mr. Texas Football. He also played in the Under Armour All-American game. As a college freshman, he played for the University of Oklahoma Sooners football team. He became the starting quarterback in his sophomore year and helped lead the team to the College Football Playoff. In his junior year, he won the Heisman Trophy, becoming the first player to ever be named Heisman winner and first overall pick in the NFL draft.

NFL Rookie of the Year

NFL Rookie of the Year is an award given by various news and sports organizations to honor the NFL’s top rookie. The award was created in 2009, and its inaugural winner was Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

Since then, only two other wide receivers have won the award: Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Mike Williams in 2010, and Pittsburgh Steelers’ JuJu Smith-Schuster in 2017. Josh Jacobs, running back for the Oakland Raiders, was awarded the 2019 NFL Rookie of the Year. Jacobs had a breakout rookie season, setting a franchise rookie record with 1,150 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. He also added 28 catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns.

Josh Jacobs was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 11, 1999. He was raised by his mother,Marty Jacobs, and he has an older sister, Yenicia Jacobs. His father was not present in his life. Josh began playing football at a very young age and he excelled at the sport from a young age. He played running back and linebacker for McLain High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jacobs was a highly touted recruit coming out of high school and he received offers from many prestigious colleges, but he chose to play for the University of Alabama.

At Alabama, Jacobs became one of the best running backs in the country. He helped lead the Crimson Tide to a national championship in his freshman season and he was named a first-team All-American in his sophomore season. After his junior season, Jacobs decided to forgo his senior year of eligibility and declare for the NFL Draft.

Jacobs was selected by the Oakland Raiders with the 24th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He had an immediate impact for the Raiders and he was named the NFL Rookie of the Year after rushing for 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns in his first season.

Quinton Dunbar (born September 18, 1992) is an American football wide receiver for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Florida, and was signed by the Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2015.

Dunbar attended Miami Norland High School in Miami, Florida, where he played high school football. He played college football at Florida from 2010 to 2014.

In his rookie season in 2015, Dunbar played in all 16 games and caught 36 passes for 490 yards and two touchdowns.

NFL Rookie of the Year

Quinton Dunbar, an undrafted free agent from the University of Florida, was named the NFL Rookie of the Year. Dunbar played in all 16 games for the Washington Redskins, starting 12 of them. He had four interceptions and two forced fumbles.
