The Legion of Boom is a nickname for the Seattle Seahawks’ defense. The nickname was given to the Seahawks’ secondary, which consists of four All-Pro players: cornerback Richard Sherman, free safety Earl Thomas, strong safety Kam Chancellor, and cornerback Byron Maxwell.

Kam Chancellor (born April 3, 1988) is an American football safety for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at Virginia Tech, and was a member of their secondary dubbed “The Hit Squad”.
Earl Thomas
Earl Thomas III (born May 7, 1989) is an American football safety for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Texas, and was drafted by the Seahawks in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Since entering the league, Thomas has been selected for the Pro Bowl six times, and has been a First-team All-Pro four times.

DeMarcus Ware
DeMarcus Ware (born July 31, 1982) is an American football outside linebacker for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys with the 11th overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Troy.
Ware is a nine-time Pro Bowl selection, a four-time first-team All-Pro selection, and was named Super Bowl 50’s MVP after leading the Broncos to a victory over the Carolina Panthers. He has also led the league in sacks twice, while his 6 forced fumbles in 2012 led the league as well. His career total of 130.5 sacks ranks him 4th all time among NFL sack leaders since 1982 when individual sacks became an official stat, behind only Bruce Smith, Reggie White and Kevin Greene.

Linebacker Von Miller is an outside linebacker for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He played college football at Texas A&M, where he earned All-American honors and was awarded the Butkus Award as the most outstanding college linebacker in the nation. He was drafted by the Broncos second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. In his first four NFL seasons, Miller has been selected to four Pro Bowls and is a two-time First-team All-Pro. He was named the Super Bowl MVP after leading Denver to a victory over Carolina in Super Bowl 50.

He played college football at the University of Kansas, where he was recognized as a consensus All-American. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Talib has also played for the New England Patriots.
Talib attended Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas, where he was a letterman in football and track. In football, as a senior, he was named honorable mention All-State by The Dallas Morning News after registering 63 tackles and four interceptions.

He was selected fifth overall by the Cardinals in the 2011 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he tied for the league lead in interceptions and was named to the NFL All-Rookie First Team. In 2013, he was named to his second Pro Bowl and earned first-team All-Pro honors for the first time in his career.

Kuechly immediately became the starting middle linebacker during his rookie season. He led the NFL in tackles while being named AP Defensive Rookie of the Year. During his second season, he again led the league in tackles and earned AP Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the youngest recipient of either award at age 23. He has been selected to five Pro Bowls and has been named First Team All-Pro five times.

Thomas Davis is an American football linebacker for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Panthers in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia.
Davis has been selected to three Pro Bowls and was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2015.

Dont’a Hightower (born March 12, 1990) is an American football linebacker for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Alabama, and was drafted by the Patriots in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He has also played for the New York Jets.
Hightower won two BCS national championships with Alabama in 2009 and 2011. As a junior in 2011, he was recognized as a consensus first-team All-American. In his senior season in 2012, he made 84 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks and 2 interceptions. He was again recognized as a first-team All-American by various media outlets.
