WWE has a lot of legends under contract. These are wrestlers who have made a significant impact in the company and have a huge fan following. The legends contract gives these wrestlers a guaranteed income and a certain number of dates they have to work.

This means that he is paid a stipend by the company in exchange for making occasional appearances, appearing on WWE programming and merchandise, and allowing his name and likeness to be used by WWE. Undertaker is one of the few Superstars to have a WWE Legend contract that allows him to work a limited schedule and still be an active member of the WWE Universe. He most recently appeared at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, where he defeated Roman Reigns in what was billed as his retirement match.

Stone Cold Steve Austin
Stone Cold Steve Austin (born Steven James Anderson on December 18, 1964), better known by his ring name “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, is an American retired professional wrestler, actor, producer, and television host. Austin enjoyed a successful wrestling career in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) from 1996 to 2002, and was the WWF’s flagship attraction during the late 1990s. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Austin was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009.
Although he left WWE in 2002 as a result of creative differences with WWE owner Vince McMahon, Austin returned to WWE programming in early 2003 on a part-time basis until his second and final retirement in 2004. Throughout the rest of 2003 and 2004, he was featured as a special guest referee or enforcer at several WWE events.
In 2005, Austin debuted as The Sheriff on BBC America’s adaptation of The Broken Arrow. In 2007, he co-starred opposite Patrick Swayze and Jessica Simpson in The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning. In 2009, he hosted the reality television series Redneck Island on CMT. Since 2010, Austin has appeared sporadically as a commentator for various promotions such as Ring of Honor (2010–2011) and occasionally returned to wrestle for independent promotions including Insane Championship Wrestling (2009) and Juggalo Championship Wrestling (2010). He made his return to WWE television as the any-man “Guest Host” of Raw on June 15th 2009 where upon defeating Dusty Rhodes in a stunt match cemented his place back within WWE’s ranks..
Shawn Michaels
In 2001, Shawn Michaels come out of retirement to help The Rock recapture the WWE title from “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at WrestleMania X-Seven. He won the Royal Rumble in 2002 and went on to headline WrestleMania XIX opposite Chris Jericho. After losing to Jericho,HBK hung up his boots for good after suffering a serious back injury.
In 2010, The Showstopper made a shock return to WWE at the Royal Rumble. Since then, he has had memorable matches with The Undertaker, Triple H, Kane and Daniel Bryan. In 2011, Michaels was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
