Who Has Clinched the NFL Playoffs?

The NFL playoffs are upon us and there are many teams that have a chance to take home the Lombardi trophy. Who has clinched a spot in the playoffs?

The AFC

The Baltimore Ravens have clinched the AFC North division title and a playoff berth. The Ravens can still earn the top seed in the conference if they win out and the New England Patriots lose one of their final two games. In the AFC South, the Houston Texans have clinched the division title and a playoff berth. The Texans can still earn the top seed in the conference if they win out and the Patriots lose one of their final two games.

The New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have clinched the AFC East division title for the tenth consecutive season. The Patriots have also clinched a first-round bye in the playoffs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers

As of Week 16, the Pittsburgh Steelers have clinched the AFC North division title and a playoff berth. They have also clinched a first-round bye in the playoffs.

The Jacksonville Jaguars

The defending AFC South champions clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 1999, and did so in style with a 45-7 win over the Houston Texans. The Jaguars (10-4) will be the division’s No. 3 seed.

The NFC

As the regular season comes to a close, the race to the playoffs is heating up. Who will clinch a spot in the playoffs? In the NFC, the New Orleans Saints have clinched the number one seed and a first-round bye. The Rams have also clinched a spot in the playoffs. The Bears are in the driver’s seat for the number two seed and a first-round bye. The Cowboys, Seahawks, and Vikings are all fighting for the final two spots in the NFC.

The Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have clinched the NFC East.

The Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have clinched the NFC North, and with it, a spot in the NFL playoffs. The Vikings are led by their defense, which is ranked #1 in the NFL in points allowed per game. They also have a very good running game, led by running back Dalvin Cook. The Vikings are a dangerous team and will be a tough out in the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have clinched the NFC West division and a first-round bye in the 2019 NFL playoffs. The Rams (13-3) became the first team to clinch a playoff berth this season when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 on Sunday night.

With the win, the Rams also clinched the No. 2 seed in the NFC and will have a first-round bye in the playoffs. They will host a divisional round game in two weeks at the Coliseum against either the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers or Seattle Seahawks.
