Tom Brady
As of September 2019, the highest paid NFL player is Tom Brady, who has an annual salary of $15 million. He is followed by Drew Brees, who has an annual salary of $13.5 million. These two quarterbacks are followed by Aaron Rodgers, who has an annual salary of $12.6 million.
Russell Wilson
As of September 2019, Wilson is the second highest paid NFL player per year, behind only Falcons QB Matt Ryan. He is also currently the 5th highest paid player in NFL history, with his 4-year, $140 million extension signed in 2019. His average annual salary of $35 million is the most ever for a quarterback.
Ben Roethlisberger
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will earn an average of $34 million over the next three seasons, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history, sources told ESPN.
The deal, which is pending a physical, will include a $33 million signing bonus and $54 million in guaranteed money, sources said.
Roethlisberger’s agent, Ryan Tollner, did not respond to requests for comment. Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten declined to comment.
Roethlisberger’s extension will keep him with the Steelers through the 2021 season. He would have been a free agent after this season.
Aaron Rodgers
As of September 5, 2018, the highest paid player in the NFL is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. His contract is for five years and is worth $134 million.
Kirk Cousins
