Jaromir Jagr is a Czech professional ice hockey right winger who is currently playing for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. In the NHL, Jagr is second all-time in regular season points with 1,888, and is one of only seven players to have scored over 1,000 points. He has also been a member of nine Stanley Cup winning teams.
Jagr began his professional career with HC Kladno in the Czech Republic prior to joining the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1990. He helped lead the Penguins to two Stanley Cup championships in 1991 and 1992. In his first eight seasons with Pittsburgh, Jagr scored over 100 points six times and was named to eight NHL All-Star Teams. He won his first Hart Memorial Trophy as league MVP in 1999 after scoring 127 points to become the first European-born player to win the award.
Following his time with Pittsburgh, Jagr played for three different teams in three years before being traded back to the Penguins in 2008.
