He passed Kobe Bryant—another Lakers legend—for first place on the list during a game against the Philadelphia 76ers on January 26, 2020. As of February 2020, James has a grand total of 34,241 points, just over 200 more than Bryant’s 33,643.

Bryant is an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive team. Bryant began his professional career with the Charlotte Hornets, who selected him with the 13th overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft. He traded to the Lakers a month later.
