Current Standings
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a professional men’s basketball league in North America, composed of 30 teams (29 in the United States and 1 in Canada). It is widely considered to be the premier men’s professional basketball league in the world.
The NBA was founded in New York City on June 6, 1946, as the Basketball Association of America (BAA). The league adopted the name of the National Basketball Association on August 3, 1949, after merging with the competing National Basketball League (NBL). The league’s several international as well as individual team offices are directed out of its headquarters located in Midtown Manhattan.

Western Conference
In the Western Conference, there are a few players who are close to the top spot for most points. As of January 2020, Russell Westbrook is in the lead with 2375 points. LeBron James is in second place with 2352 points, and Kawhi Leonard is in third place with 2096 points.
Eastern Conference
In the Eastern Conference, Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the way with 2,824 total points. He is followed by Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant (2,732), Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid (2,382), Indiana Pacers’ Domantas Sabonis (2,341) and Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum (2,318).
