Who Has The Worst Offense In The NFL?

Who has the worst offense in the NFL? It’s a question that many fans have been asking lately. There are a few teams that seem to be struggling on offense, but which one is the worst?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the worst offense in the NFL. They are averaging only 17.4 points per game and are ranked last in the league in yards per game. They have only scored more than 20 points in one game this season, and that was against the New York Jets.

Jameis Winston’s turnovers

Jameis Winston has been one of the most turnover-prone quarterbacks in the NFL over the last three seasons. His 55 turnovers are the most in the NFL during that span, and he has thrown at least 10 interceptions in each of his three seasons.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had one of the worst offenses in the NFL over the last three seasons, and a big reason for that has been Jameis Winston’s turnover problem. Winston has thrown 55 interceptions and lost 18 fumbles over the last three years, by far the most of any player in the NFL.

Turnovers are always going to be a part of Winston’s game, but if he can cut down on them even a little bit, it would go a long way towards making the Bucs a more competitive team.

The offensive line

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the worst offense in the NFL. Their offensive line is a mess. They can’t run the ball. They can’t protect the quarterback. They can’t do anything right. Jameis Winston is a turnover machine. The wide receivers can’t catch anything. The tight ends are invisible. It’s just a mess.

The New York Jets

The quarterback situation

The New York Jets have one of the worst offenses in the NFL. This is largely due to their quarterback situation. The Jets have used three different quarterbacks this season, and all of them have been terrible.

The first quarterback was Geno Smith. He was so bad that he got benched after just six games. The second quarterback was Bryce Petty. He was also terrible, and he got injured after just three games. The third quarterback is Ryan Fitzpatrick. He is also terrible.

The Jets have scored a total of only six touchdowns this season, and four of those came in one game. In their other seven games, they have scored a total of only two touchdowns. That is simply not good enough.

The Jets offense is so bad that they are currently on pace to set the NFL record for fewest points scored in a season. That is not good news for Jets fans, who are already dealing with a lot of other problems this season.

The lack of weapons

The New York Jets are currently tied with the Miami Dolphins for the worst offense in the NFL. The Jets are averaging a pathetic 10.6 points per game, and they have only scored more than 20 points twice all season. It is abundantly clear that the Jets’ lack of offensive weapons is their biggest problem.

Quarterback Sam Darnold has shown flashes of potential, but he does not have enough help around him. The Jets’ leading receiver, Robby Anderson, has just 563 yards and four touchdowns on the season. Second-leading receiver Quincy Enunwa is out for the year with a neck injury. Jermaine Kearse, who is third on the team in receiving yards, was just traded to the New England Patriots. And tight end Chris Herndon, who was tied for the team lead in touchdown receptions, is suspended for four games.

In other words, Darnold simply does not have any reliable targets to throw to. The Jets’ anemic offense is a direct result of their lack of offensive weapons. If they want to improve next season, they need to find some playmakers for Darnold to throw to.

The Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have the worst offense in the NFL. They are averaging only 12.4 points per game and are ranked last in the league in total offense. They have been held to under 10 points in six of their nine games this season.

The offensive line

The Cardinals offense has been one of the worst in the NFL this season. A big reason for this has been the play of the offensive line. The Cardinals have allowed the most sacks in the NFL this season and their offensive line has been struggled to open up holes for running backs. The Cardinals’ offensive line is a big reason why the team has had so much trouble scoring points this season.

The wide receivers

The Cardinals have one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Their wide receivers are among the worst in the league. They have Larry Fitzgerald, who is past his prime, and Michael Floyd, who is suspended for the first four games of the season. John Brown is their only other receiver with any experience, and he has missed time with injuries in each of his first two seasons.

The Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have the worst offense in the NFL. They have the lowest point differential in the league, and their offense is ranked dead last in yards per game. They have also given up the most sacks in the NFL.

The quarterback situation

The Bills have had a revolving door at quarterback over the past few years, and it has really hurt their offense. They currently have Josh Allen, who was drafted in 2018, as their starter. He has shown some flashes of potential, but he is still very raw and makes a lot of mistakes. The Bills also have Nathan Peterman on their roster, who has been terrible in his limited appearances. He has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns in his career and has a very low completion percentage. The Bills also recently signed veteran quarterback Derek Anderson, but it is unclear if he will be the starter or not.

The lack of weapons

The Bills lack of weapons on offense was evident in their Week 1 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Quarterback Nathan Peterman was sacked seven times and threw three interceptions. The Bills had just 185 yards of offense and nine first downs.

The Bills released wide receiver Corey Coleman after Week 1, and it is clear that they have no one who can stretch the field. Zay Jones is their only legitimate receiving threat, and he had just two catches for 17 yards against the Ravens.

Running back LeSean McCoy is still a good player, but he is not the dynamic weapon he once was. He had 9 rushing yards on 11 carries against the Ravens.

The Bills have a lot of work to do on offense if they want to be competitive in 2018.
