The 2020 NBA Playoffs are finally here! After a long, strange regular season, the playoffs are set to begin on August 17th. Eight teams in each conference will battle it out for a chance to win the NBA Finals. Who do you think will come out on top?

Who’s in?

As the 2019-2020 regular NBA season comes to a close, we now know which 16 teams will be competing in this year’s playoffs.

In the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks (1) will take on the Orlando Magic (8), the Toronto Raptors (2) will take on the Brooklyn Nets (7), the Boston Celtics (3) will take on the Philadelphia 76ers (6), and the Miami Heat (5) will take on the Indiana Pacers (4).

In the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers (1) will take on the Portland Trail Blazers (8), the Denver Nuggets(2) will take on the Utah Jazz(7),the Los Angeles Clippers(3) will take on Dallas Mavericks(6), and Houston Rockets(4) will take on Oklahoma City Thunder(5).

Who’s out?

The 2020 NBA Playoffs are finally here after a long and eventful regular season. The field is set and the matchups are set, but there are a few teams that didn’t quite make the cut. Here’s a look at which teams missed the playoffs this year.

-The Chicago Bulls missed the playoffs by just a few games, finishing with a 41-41 record.
-The Detroit Pistons also just missed the playoff cutoff, finishing with a 41-41 record.
-The Charlotte Hornets also finished just outside the playoff picture, finishing with a 39-43 record.

2020 NBA Finals

The 2020 NBA Finals was the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA)’s 2019–20 season and conclusion of the season’s playoffs. In this best-of-seven playoff, the Western Conference champion Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat, four games to two, to win their 17th NBA championship, tying the Boston Celtics for the most in NBA history. Lakers forward LeBron James was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) for a record-tying fourth time in his career.

Who’s in?

With the regular season now complete, we know the 16 teams that will be battling it out for the NBA championship.

The defending champion Toronto Raptors will have their work cut out for them as they look to repeat, with several strong teams in contention. The Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites in the Western Conference, while the Raptors, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers look like the main contenders in the East.

Other teams that could make some noise in the playoffs include the Houston Rockets, Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets in the West, and the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers in the East.
