She won a record-tying five consecutive Wimbledon singles crowns from 1966 through 1970. Overall, Court won 13 women’s doubles and 12 mixed doubles Grand Slam events. By winning three mixed doubles Crowns with Ken Fletcher in 1963, Court became one of only four tennis players – all female – to have accomplished this feat during the Open Era. This record was not bettered until Martina Navratilova teamed with Mark Woodforde to win three consecutive Wimbledon mixed doubles titles between 1985–87.
Court is one of just four women ever – the others being Dorothea Lambert Chambers, Billie Jean King and Serena Williams – to have completed a career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles (all four grand slam events plus an Olympic gold medal).

No other player has come close to Court’s record of winning a grand slam title on all three surfaces (grass, hard court, and clay), in both the singles and doubles competitions. In 1970, Court completed the grand slam when she won the French Open Women’s Singles tournament, making her the first and only player to win all four grand slam singles titles in a calendar year. She went on to win the Australian Open Women’s Singles tournament a record 11 times (tied with Serena Williams), the French Open Women’s Singles tournament five times, Wimbledon Women’s Singles tournament three times, and the US Open Women’s Singles tournament five times.
In addition to her 24 major singles titles, Court won 19 major women’s doubles titles (an all-time record) and 21 mixed doubles titles (also an all-time record). She holds numerous other records including being the only player (male or female) to have won more than 200 major tennis tournaments (a total of career 210 wins).
