Who Is Going To The NFL Playoffs?

It’s that time of year again. The NFL Playoffs are right around the corner and we all know the question on everyone’s mind: Who is going to the playoffs?

AFC

The Buffalo Bills have not made the playoffs in seventeen years, but this year they have a chance. They are in competition with the Baltimore Ravens, who have a strong defense, and the Houston Texans, who have a strong offense.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston area. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is located 21 miles (34 km) southwest of downtown Boston.

The Patriots are also headquartered at Gillette Stadium. An original member of the American Football League (AFL), the Patriots joined the NFL in 1970 as part of the AFL–NFL merger. The team changed its name from the original Boston Patriots after relocating to Foxborough in 1971. The Patriots played their home games at Foxboro Stadium from 1971 to 2001, then moved to Gillette Stadium at the start of the 2002 season. The Patriots’ rivalry with the New York Jets is considered one of the most bitter rivalries in the NFL.

Bill Belichick has been head coach since 2000, making him the longest-tenured head coach in NFL history. The franchise has compiled an overall record of 500–382–8 (including playoffs), with a regular season record of 500–371–8 and a playoff record of 25–11. Their accomplishments include winning thirteen AFC East titles (tied for most all-time with Miami), nine AFC Championships (most all-time), and six Super Bowl Championships (most all-time).

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are a professional American football team based in the Greater Los Angeles Area. The Chargers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The Chargers joined the NFL as result of the AFL–NFL merger in 1970, and played their home games at San Diego Stadium until 2003. In 2005, the Chargers started playing their home games at Qualcomm Stadium after changing ownership groups; they then became tenants of StubHub Center from 2017 onward while their new downtown stadium is being built.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have won three AFL championships, in 1962, 1966, and 1969. They became the second AFL team (after the New York Jets) to defeat an NFL team in an AFL–NFL World Championship Game when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. The team’s victory on January 11, 1970, remains the club’s last championship game victory and appearance to date. Between 1995 and 2016, the franchise lost a total of nine AFC Championship Games ( appearing a record-tying eight times), and also five AFC West divisional playoff games. In 159 regular season games, they have an all-time win–loss record of 103–56 (.647).

Mecom Jr., David Dixon, and the city of New Orleans on November 1, 1966. The Saints began play in Tulane Stadium in 1967.
