Who Is Going To Win the NFL This Week?

Introduction

In this essay, I will be discussing who I think is going to win the National Football League (NFL) this week. I will be looking at three factors: the teams, the players, and the coaches.

The Case For the Patriots

As we enter the final weeks of the NFL regular season, there is one team that stands out above the rest as the clear favorite to win it all: the New England Patriots.

The Patriots are currently 11-3, which is the best record in the AFC. They have one of the most balanced rosters in the league, with a strong offense led by quarterback Tom Brady and a stingy defense that has allowed the second fewest points per game this season.

The Patriots also have a significant advantage in terms of experience. They have been to six Super Bowls under head coach Bill Belichick and Brady, winning five of them. Compare that to the Los Angeles Rams, who are coached by first-year head coach Sean McVay and led by second-year quarterback Jared Goff, and it’s clear that the Patriots have a big edge in terms of postseason experience.

So if you’re looking for a team to bet on to win the Super Bowl this year, the New England Patriots are your best bet.

The Case For the Rams

The Rams are the current NFC champions and they have one of the best young quarterback’s in the NFL. They also have a great head coach in Sean McVay. The Rams offense is explosive and they have a great defense. They are the favorite to win the NFC again this year.

The Case For the Saints

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, NFL football is back! After an eventful off-season and a training camp full of competition, every team is hoping to start the season off 1-0. However, there can only be one winner per week and this week I think that team will be the New Orleans Saints. Here are three reasons why I believe the Saints will win their Week 1 matchup.

1) Their offense is loaded with weapons
2) Their defense has improved from last year
3) They have the better head coach

The New Orleans Saints have always been an offensive-minded team, and that has not changed this year. They have one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Drew Brees, as well as two very talented running backs in Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram. In addition to their running backs, they also have one of the best wide receiver duos in the league with Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn Jr. The Saints also added a very good tight end this offseason in free agent signing Coby Fleener. With all of these weapons at his disposal, Drew Brees should have no problem putting up a lot of points against any defense.

The Saints’ defense was their Achilles heel last year, but they made some significant changes to try and improve it. They added some very good players in free agency like defensive end Nick Fairley and linebacker James Laurinaitis. They also used their first round pick in this year’s draft on defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins. These additions should help to solidify a defense that was susceptible to giving up big plays last year.

Lastly, the Saints have a much better head coach than their opponents do. Sean Payton is one of the best coaches in the league and he always has his team prepared for whatever opponent they are facing. He is also not afraid to take risks when it comes to play calling, which could pay off big for the Saints this week.

All things considered, I believe that the New Orleans Saints will win their Week 1 matchup against the Oakland Raiders by a score of 27-17.

Conclusion

##
After reviewing all of the data, it is clear that the Patriots are the favorites to win the NFL this week. They have the better overall record, they are playing at home, and they have the better quarterback. However, the Chargers are a very good team and should not be counted out. It is going to be a close game, but the Patriots are most likely to come out on top.
