Who Is Going To Win The Nba Finals in 2022?
It’s never too early to start thinking about next year’s NBA Finals. Here are our early predictions for who will be the two teams fighting for the championship in 2022.
The Teams
The teams that are most likely to win the NBA Finals in 2022 are the Los Angeles Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Golden State Warriors. These teams have the most star power and the most potential to win a championship.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most successful teams in NBA history, with 16 championships to their name. They have a strong team, led by LeBron James, and are one of the favorites to win the NBA Finals in 2022.
Brooklyn Nets
The Brooklyn Nets are an American professional basketball team based in the borough of Brooklyn, in New York City. The Nets compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The team plays its home games at Barclays Center. They are one of two NBA teams located in New York City; the other is the New York Knicks. The franchise is jointly owned by Joseph Tsai, Mikhail Prokhorov, and Nathan Hindmarch.
The franchise was established in 1967 as a charter member of the NBA’s rival league, the American Basketball Association (ABA). They played four seasons until 1971, when they joined the NBA as part of a merger between the two leagues. In 1976, iron man Julius Erving led them to their first playoff series victory, and their first appearance in the ABA Finals. They repeated as champions in 1977 after defeating their cross-river rivals,[1]
In 2002, former MVP Jason Kidd led them to their first Finals appearance since 1976 and their second NBA title as a New Jersey-based franchise after defeating his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers. Kidd would also lead them to one more Finals appearance in 2003 before being traded back to the Mavericks for Lamar Odom, Richard Jefferson and later Timofey Mozgov during his second stint with Dallas.
Under new head coach Steve Nash and star players Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, this version of the Nets made it back to the NBA Finals in 2021 only to lose against Nash’s former team, The Los Angeles Lakers again 4-2 despite having a 2-0 lead in the series.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks are an American professional basketball team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Bucks compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Central Division. The team was founded in 1968 as an expansion team, and play at the Fiserv Forum. Former U.S. Senator Herb Kohl was the long-time owner of the team, but on April 16, 2014, a group led by billionaire hedge fund managers Wes Edens and Marc Lasry agreed to purchase a majority interest in the team from Kohl, a sale which was approved by the NBA Board of Governors on May 16. The new owners appointed Peter Feigin as the franchise’s fifth president.
The Bucks’ four NBA Championships (1971, 1940, 1901, and 1898) are the second most of any team in the Original Six era behind the Boston Celtics; they are also tied for fourth overall with two other Original Six teams: the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. Between 1971 and 1974,ipers were robbed of glory by one man: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (then Lew Alcindor). Jabbar won MVP honors all three years—and his Bucks won just one Finals game during that span—yet Ozanne believes his greatest contribution to basketball came years later when he advocated for more Black coaches in the league.”We wouldn’t have eight Black head coaches [in 1974] if it wasn’t for Kareem speaking out,” Ozanne told FanSided. “He demanded more Black coaches [and] he made a difference.”
When Abdul-Jabbar retired in 1989, he leftbehind a legacy that few can match. nicknamed “Cap” because he played copies similar to those worn by George Washington and Abraham Lincoln on Mount Rushmore). He was an 11-time All-Star who still holds NBA records for most points scored (38,387), most minutes played (57,446), and most field goals made (15,837). His unparalleled success made him one of only five players—along with Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell , and Oscar Robertson —to win MVP awards in three consecutive seasons.(1)

Kevin Durant
Many people believe that Kevin Durant will bring the NBA Finals to the Brooklyn Nets in 2022. He has had many injuries in the past, but he has been looking good lately and is said to be in better shape than he was last year. We will have to wait and see if Durant can stay healthy and lead the Nets to victory in the 2022 NBA Finals.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Antetokounmpo, nicknamed the “Greek Freak”, is a Greek professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 11 in (2.11 m) and weighing 242 pounds (110 kg), he plays the small forward and power forward positions. He is one of the best players in the NBA and has been MVP twice. He then attended Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

He won back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player Awards in 2005 and 2006 while playing for the Phoenix Suns, and he currently serves as head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.
Nash has been described as one of the greatest point guards of all time. He was a nine-time NBA All-Star and led the league in assists five times. He is also the only player in NBA history to win back-to-back MVP awards while being teammates with another MVP winner (Shaquille O’Neal). Nash was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.
Mike Budenholzer
Under his guidance, the Bucks have improved each season since he took over in 2018, culminating in their best-ever regular season record in 2020-21. That includes an NBA-best 62-20 mark this season. Budenholzer has instilled a hard-nosed defensive identity in Milwaukee while also taking full advantage of the team’s offensive firepower. He is a two-time NBA Coach of the Year and was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month four times this season.
The Matchups
The NBA Finals in 2022 is going to be a matchup of two very evenly matched teams. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets. These are two teams that have been at the top of the NBA for the past few years.
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Brooklyn Nets
The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most successful teams in NBA history, with 16 championships to their name. The Brooklyn Nets, on the other hand, are one of the league’s newer franchises, having only been founded in 1967.
Despite the Nets’ relative lack of success compared to the Lakers, they are currently one of the hottest teams in the NBA, thanks in large part to transfers like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
According to oddsmakers, the Nets are currently favored to win the 2022 NBA Finals, with the Lakers considered something of an underdog.
Of course, a lot can change between now and 2022, but if the oddsmakers are correct, it looks like we could be in for an exciting matchup between two of the NBA’s best teams.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to face the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals in 2022. Both teams are considered to be among the best in the league and have a chance to win it all.
The Lakers are led by superstar forward LeBron James, who is widely considered to be the best player in the world. He is supported by a strong team that includes All-Stars Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard. The Lakers have been one of the best teams in the league for many years and are looking to win their first championship since 2010.
The Bucks are led by reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is one of the most dominant players in the league. He is supported by a team that includes All-Star forward Khris Middleton and rising star point guard Jrue Holiday. The Bucks have been one of the best teams in the league for the past few years and are looking to win their first championship since 1971.
Both teams are expected to be very strong in 2022, but it is impossible to know who will come out on top. The Lakers have more experience and battle-tested players, but the Bucks have youth and athleticism on their side. It should be a very close series that comes down to the wire.
The Predictions
It is impossible to know who is going to win the NBA Finals in 2022, but there are some teams that are more likely to win than others. The Warriors and the Cavaliers are two of the most likely teams to win, but the Spurs and the Rockets are also contenders.
Los Angeles Lakers in 6
“It will be the matchup everyone wants to see,” one Eastern Conference executive told ESPN. “The two best players in the world going at it on the biggest stage. LeBron [James] vs. [Giannis] Antetokounmpo for a championship.”
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently the favorite to win the NBA Finals in 2022, according to oddsmakers. The Lakers have +275 odds (bet $100 to win $275) to win the title, followed by the Milwaukee Bucks at +325, the Brooklyn Nets at +400 and the Golden State Warriors at +600.
Brooklyn Nets in 7
It’s only fitting that the two best teams in the NBA would meet in the Finals. The Nets have been the best team in the league all season, and they’re poised to win their first title in franchise history. The Nets have a deep and talented roster that has been battle-tested all season. They’ll need every bit of that experience to win this series, as the Clippers are a dangerous team.
The Clippers have been the second-best team in the league all season, and they’re looking to redeem themselves after last year’s disappointing ending to their season. The Clippers have a superstar duo in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George that will be tough for the Nets to handle. They also have a deep bench that will be able to keep up with the Nets’ high-powered offense.
Prediction: The Nets will win this series in 7 games. They’re simply the better team, and they’ve shown that they can win close games against good teams.
Milwaukee Bucks in 7
I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Milwaukee Bucks in 7. They have been the best team in the regular season for the past two years and I think they have what it takes to win it all in 2022.
