The Miami Heat are an American professional basketball team based in Miami. The Heat compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Southeast Division. They play their home games at American Airlines Arena, and have won three NBA championships (in 2006, 2012 and 2020).

James was born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. He was drafted number one overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003. He played for the Cavaliers from 2003 to 2010. In his first season, he was named the Rookie of the Year. In his second season, he led the Cavaliers to their first playoff appearance in franchise history.
In 2007, James was named MVP of the regular season. He led the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals that year but they lost to the San Antonio Spurs in four games.

Anthony Davis (born March 11, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays the power forward and center positions. Davis was the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by the New Orleans Pelicans, and is a seven-time NBA All-Star. He has also been selected to five All-NBA teams and three All-Defensive teams, and is a two-time block champion. In 2019, he was named co-MVP of the NBA All-Star Game.
Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After playing one year of college basketball for Tyler Junior College, he transferred to Marquette University. He was drafted with the 30th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. In his second season with the Bulls, he was selected as an All-Star by coaches for the first time and went on to be named the Most Improved Player. In 2015, he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he was named to the All-Star team again in 2017 and 2018. During his tenure with the Timberwolves, Butler also played for the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.

Erik Spoelstra is an American professional basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has been the team’s head coach since 2008. In 2012 and 2013, he led the Heat to NBA championships. raised in Portland, Oregon, Spoelstra played college basketball for the University of Portland before working his way up the Heat organization.
He became head coach after Pat Riley retired. Riley had been serving as both team president and head coach and handed over coaches duties to Spoelstra. Under Spoelstra, Miami has made five playoff appearances, winning NBA championships in 2012 and 2013. In 2010–11 and 2014–15, he was named NBA Coach of the Year.
