Who Is In The NBA Playoffs Right Now?

The NBA playoffs are in full swing and we have all the info on who is in and who is out.

The NBA Playoffs So Far

The NBA playoffs are in full swing and there have been some great matchups so far. The Golden State Warriors are still the favorites to win it all, but there are a few other teams that could give them a run for their money. Let’s take a look at how the playoffs have been going so far.

The First Round

So far, the NBA Playoffs have been full of surprises. The Golden State Warriors, who many predicted would make it to the Finals, were upset in the first round by the Los Angeles Clippers. The Kawhi Leonard-led Clippers now move on to face the Denver Nuggets in the second round. Another team that was upset in the first round was the Portland Trail Blazers, who lost to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies now move on to face the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers. In the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks swept the Orlando Magic, while the Toronto Raptors defeated the Brooklyn Nets in seven games. The Raptors now move on to face the Boston Celtics, who defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in seven games.

The Second Round

In the second round of the playoffs, the field is cut in half as each conference’s top four seeds face off. The winners of these series advance to the conference finals.

In the second round of the playoffs, the Boston Celtics are facing off against the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference, while the Denver Nuggets are taking on the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference.

The Celtics and Bucks met in last year’s conference finals, with Boston winning in seven games. This year, Milwaukee has home-court advantage and is coming into the series on a high note after sweeping the Detroit Pistons in the first round. The Bucks will look to take advantage of their big men, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez, while trying to limit Boston’s offensive weapons, Kyrie Irving and Al Horford.

The Nuggets upset the top-seeded Los Angeles Clippers in seven games in their first-round series. Denver will now have to try and do it again as they take on Portland, who knocked off the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games. The Nuggets will look to continue their hot shooting from behind the arc, while Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum will try to keep pace for Portland.

Who’s In?

The 2019-2020 NBA season has come to an end, and the playoffs are underway. 16 teams are vying for the chance to win the NBA championship, and only one will come out on top. Who’s in the playoffs?

The Eastern Conference

The Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of two conferences that makes up the league, the other being the Western Conference. Like the Western Conference, the Eastern Conference is made up of 15 teams, organized in three divisions.

The current divisional alignment was introduced in 2004, when the now Charlotte Hornets began play as the NBA’s 30th franchise. Along with the Hornets, the Eastern Conference welcomed the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic as part of that expansion.

As of 2020, the Eastern Conference has 14 teams:

The Western Conference

The Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is one of two conferences that makes up the league, the other being the Eastern Conference. Like the Eastern Conference, the Western Conference is made up of 15 teams, organized in three divisions.

The divisional and conference system were adopted when the NBA expanded in 1976, when four ABA teams joined the league. The conference has remained unchanged since then; as of 2018, there are still 15 teams in the conference.

The Western Conference is home to some of the most successful teams in NBA history. The Los Angeles Lakers have won a record 16 NBA championships, while the San Antonio Spurs have won five championships since 1999. Other successful franchises include the Golden State Warriors, who have appeared in four NBA Finals since 2015, and the Houston Rockets, who won back-to-back titles in 1994 and 1995.

The Finals

The NBA playoffs are in full swing and the top teams in the league are battling it out for the title. Who will come out on top? The Finals are always a thrilling event and this year is sure to be no exception. Let’s take a look at who is in the playoffs right now.

The Eastern Conference Finals

The Eastern Conference Finals is a best-of-seven playoff series between the Milwaukee Bucks of the Eastern Conference and the Toronto Raptors of the Eastern, that is currently underway. The Bucks have home-court advantage in the series, as they had a better regular season record than the Raptors.

The winner of this series will advance to the NBA Finals and face either the Golden State Warriors or Portland Trail Blazers.

The Western Conference Finals

The Western Conference Finals is the championship series of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Western Conference and the round before the NBA Finals. The WCF was originally known as the Western Division Finals. The series consists of best-of-seven games, and it is played between the winners of the two conference semifinals in the conference playoffs.

The Western Conference Finals was first held in 1951, when the Rochester Royals defeated the New York Knicks four games to three. The WCF’s first golden era belonged to the Los Angeles Lakers, who won it a record eight times in a row from 1982 to 1989. The Lakers’ run was ended by their rivals, the Houston Rockets, who won consecutive titles in 1994 and 1995.

The 1990s belonged to another L.A. team, as the Shaquille O’Neal-led Lakers won three straight titles from 2000 to 2002. The Lakers lost in 2004 to the Detroit Pistons, but they regained their throne in 2009 and 2010 behind Kobe Bryant. In 2011, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban declared that his team was “going for it all,” and they proceeded to shock the basketball world by defeating LeBron James and the heavily favored Miami Heat in six games.

The most recent WCF was won by Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors, who defeated James Harden and the Houston Rockets in seven games. This marked Durant’s ninth consecutive trip to the NBA Finals (including his time with Oklahoma City Thunder), and his second championship with Golden State.

The NBA Finals is the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Eastern and Western conference champions play a best-of-seven game series to determine the league champion. The winning team of the series receives the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
