The NBA Rising Stars game is an annual exhibition featuring some of the league’s best young players. This year’s game will take place on February 16th during All-Star Weekend.
Kyrie Irving
Kyrie Irving was born on March 23, 1992, in Melbourne, Australia to American parents. He is a professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year after being selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft. He was a four-time All-Star and won an NBA championship with the Cavaliers in 2016.

He was drafted ninth overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Charlotte Bobcats, who renamed themselves the Hornets seven years later. He is a three-time NBA All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 2019. Walker has also played for USA Basketball, winning a gold medal in the 2010 FIBA World Championship and a bronze medal in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
In high school, he was named Mr. Basketball USA twice and led his team to four consecutive state championships. As a freshman at Connecticut in 2009–10, he was named Big East Rookie of the Year and led his team to the NCAA Division I championship game, where they lost to Kentucky. After his junior season, he was selected as consensus first-team All-American. Walker left Connecticut as its all-time leading scorer with 1,733 points.
University of Connecticut
Kemba Walker (born May 8, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted ninth overall by the Hornets in the 2011 NBA draft after playing college basketball for the Connecticut Huskies. Kemba Walker is one of only eight players in UConn history to score 1,000 points and register 400 assists in a career.
DeMarcus Cousins
The 2021 NBA All-Star game will take place on Sunday, February 16. The game will be held at the United Center in Chicago and will air on TNT. One of the most highly anticipated events of All-Star weekend is the Rising Stars game, which features the best first- and second-year players in the league. This year’s game will be especially exciting because of the number of talented players who will be participating.

DeMarcus Amir Cousins (born August 13, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, where he was an All-American in 2010. He left Kentucky after one season, and was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. He has earned two NBA All-Star selections (in 2015 and 2016), and is currently ranked ninth in the NBA in double-doubles.
In his first season with the Kings, he averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds per game. During his second season with Sacramento, Cousins improved his statistical averages to 18 points and 10 rebounds per game. The Kings made a dramatic improvement during his third season with the team, winning 28 games compared to 25 during Cousins’ rookie year, but unfortunately missed out on playoff contention. During his fourth season with Sacramento, Cousins averaged 22 points and 11 rebounds per game. After averaging 24 points and 12 rebounds per contest during his fifth season with Sacramento, Cousins was selected as an All-Star for the first time in his career.
University of Kentucky
DeMarcus Cousins attended the University of Kentucky, where he played for the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team from 2009 to 2010. He was named a Consensus first-team All-American, the USBWA National Freshman of the Year, and the SEC Rookie of the Year. Cousins was also a member of UK’s NCAA championship winning team in 2010. He declared for the NBA draft after just one season at Kentucky and was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings.
Paul George
George was selected as a starter for the game but did not participate due to an injury. George was replaced in the starting lineup by Donovan Mitchell.

Paul George is an American professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a six-time NBA All-Star and has been named four times to the All-NBA Team. George was also a member of the USA Basketball team that won the gold medal at the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

Paul George is a shooting guard/small forward for the Indiana Pacers. He was born on May 2, 1990, in Oakland, California. He played college basketball for Fresno State University. George was selected by the Pacers with the 10th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft. He was named to the NBA All-Star team in 2014 and 2019.
