The NFL MVP race is heating up and there are a few frontrunners emerging. Who do you think is leading the pack?

Tom Brady is currently leading the NFL MVP race. He has thrown for over 4,000 yards and has 36 touchdown passes. He has also been extremely efficient, completing over 70% of his passes. Brady has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for the past few years and is having another great season.

Drew Brees

Drew Brees is currently leading the NFL MVP race. He has thrown for over 3,700 yards and 31 touchdowns. He has also been a big part of the Saints’ success this season.

In his 18th season, Drew Brees is once again leading the New Orleans Saints to the playoffs. He is currently the NFL’s all-time passing leader with 74,845 yards and has thrown for 547 touchdowns, both of which are first all-time. In 2019, he became the third QB ever to throw for 3,000 yards in 15 consecutive seasons. He has been selected to thirteen Pro Bowls, was the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2008 and 2011, and was Super Bowl XLIV’s MVP when he led the Saints to victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

As of October 8th, Brees has completed 154 of 203 passes for 1,658 yards and 14 touchdowns, with just three interceptions. His quarterback rating of 115.7 is the second best in the league, behind only Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brees has been selected to eleven Pro Bowls—tied for most appearances by a quarterback—including nine consecutive seasons from 2009 to 2017. He was named Offensive Player of the Year by both The Associated Press (AP) and Sporting News three times (2008, 2011, 2013), becoming just the third player ever to do so since 1967; he was also named Offensive Player of the Year by Sporting News three times—tied for most all-time with Marshall Faulk—and AP once (2011).

Wilson is currently the front runner for the 2013 NFL MVP award, and he is also a leading candidate for the 2013 NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.

Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes is leading the NFL MVP race. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has thrown for 7 touchdown passes and has 1,195 passing yards. Mahomes is also the leading rusher on the Chiefs with 47 rushing yards.

In his first full season as starter, Mahomes threw for 5,097 yards — the third-most in NFL history — and a league-leading 50 TDs, with just 12 INTs. He also rushed for 321 yards and two TDs.

Mahomes has set numerous records in his young career. In 2018, he became the second quarterback in NFL history to throw 50 touchdown passes and 5,000 yards in a single season. He also set the Chiefs’ franchise record for passing yards in a season with 5,097. In 2019, he led the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years.

Aaron Rodgers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is leading the NFL MVP race this season. Rodgers has been in the league for 16 years and has been one of the most consistent quarterbacks. He has led the Packers to a 13-3 record and has thrown for 4,299 yards, 48 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Rodgers has also shown his versatility by running for four touchdowns.

In 9 games, Rodgers has completed 70.4 percent of his passes for 2, Farrell said he is not concerned about the rest of the schedule. “We just have to keep winning,” he said.

“The top two guys in my mind are Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers,” Polian said. “I think it’s really a two-man race.”

NFL Network’s Kurt Warner agreed, saying Brady and Rodgers are “separate and apart from everybody else.”

“To me, it’s those two guys,” Warner said on NFL Total Access. “I don’t think anybody is close to those two guys.”

As of Week 11, Rodgers has thrown for 3,125 yards, 33 touchdowns and just four interceptions while completing nearly 70 percent of his passes. He also has a 121.5 passer rating, which is not only the best in the NFL but would also be a career high if the season ended today.
