Vince McMahon Jr.

In 1971, Vince McMahon Sr. sold the WWF to his son, Vince McMahon Jr. Under McMahon’s direction, the company grew quickly and became a major player in the industry. The young McMahon also changed the product, making it more entertainment-based and less wrestling-centric. He began signing Hollywood celebrities such as Cyndi Lauper and Mr. T to appear at WWF events, and in 1984, he staged the first live wrestling event on cable television, “The Brawl to End it All,” which was broadcast on MTV.

Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels (born Michael Shawn Hickenbottom; July 22, 1965) is an American professional wrestling personality, television presenter, retired professional wrestler and former bodybuilder. He is currently signed to WWE as an ambassador.

Michaels wrestled consistently for WWE, formerly the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), from 1988 until his first retirement in 1998. He held non-wrestling roles from 1996 to 1998 and again in 2002. In the mid-1990s, Michaels was known as “The Heartbreak Kid” and by 1999, he was labeled “Mr. WrestleMania”, where he has won more matches than anyone else at that event with 16 victories including holding the record for most championship wins at that event with ten triumphs.

Michaels’ career seriously declined in 1992 following the loss of his WWF Intercontinental Championship to The Ultimate Warrior at SummerSlam. After suffering a knee injury while wrestling Curt Hennig in Japan, Michaels was out of action until the Royal Rumble the following year where he won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship from Hulk Hogan to begin his second reign with the company which many have hailed as one of Michaels’ greatest in-ring performances. He lost the title to Yokozuna at WrestleMania IX, but won it back two months later at a house show in Springfield, Massachusetts after Mr. Perfect cashed in his newly acquired WWF Championship opportunity contract known as the Money in the Bank on Yokozuna who had just been pinned by Bret Hart.

Mankind

Mankind is a professional wrestling character portrayed by Mick Foley. He is best known for his appearances with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) between 1996 and 2000. Foley has wrestled under his real name and various personas, including Dude Love, Cactus Jack, and Mick Foley, as well as being the namesake of the Mankind character. He is a four-time world champion, a three-time WWE Champion, and the first WWF Hardcore Champion.

Foley was born in Bloomington, Indiana. He had an early interest in wrestling, watching it on TV while growing up. He began participating in backyard wrestling matches with his friends at an early age. He later attended Warren G. Harding High School, where he participated in amateur wrestling. After graduating from high school in 1982, he worked several jobs before beginning to train for a career as a professional wrestler. He was trained by Dory Funk Jr. and Terry Funk and debuted in 1985.

In 1995, after a stint in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Foley signed with the WWF and gained popularity with his hardcore wrestling style – which often involved him being physically harmed during matches – and his tragicomic persona; he won his first WWF Championship that year. The following year he competed in the Royal Rumble match for the first time, as well as competing in the inaugural WrestleMania main event alongside Hulk Hogan against Mr. T and Roddy Piper; his involvement helped establish him as one of the company’s top stars of The New Generation Era of professional wrestling. He quickly moved into the main event scene by winning the then-renowned King of the Ring tournament in June 1996 while also feuding with The Undertaker throughout much of that year; their Hell in a Cell match at October’s In Your House: Bad Blood remains renowned as one of the most famous – if not notorious – matches ever held by WWE due to Foley becoming partially impaled by Hulk Hogan’s Numerous Leg Drops off of the Cell’s roof later on it’s artistic design (which included looking like it was about to collapse), which led to Foley being hospitalized following 17 stitches having been required to close wounds on his forehead caused by exposed rebar from one of Hogan’s numerous holes having broken through it When McMahon showed footage from security cameras backstage which proved that Mankind was not responsible for Bret Hart being attacked prior to their match at Survivor Series 1996 due to being elsewhere when it took place – suggesting that Shawn Michaels may have been behind it instead – McMahon then named Michaels as Mankind’s opponent for that evening’s WWE Championship main event match which Michaels subsequently won to become champion again

In 1997 at January’s Royal Rumble, Mankind entered second-to-last in the Royal Rumble match and lasted almost half an hour despite taking several severe beatings throughout it such as Psychosis powerbombing him through two announce tables stacked on top of each other towards its climax; this led to him receiving a sustained ovation upon lasting until almost its end where Stone Cold Steve Austin last eliminated him to win the match itself after surviving numerous eliminations himself earlier on within it due to outside interference on Austin’s behalf which had given him time to recover between them This led to McMahon making Austin vs Mankind for that evening’s WWE Championship main event match which Austin won despite outside interference again on Mankind’s behalf towards its climax this time The two men continued their feud over the next few months with different allies involved on each side until May’s Over The Edge pay-per-view event where their altercations backstage spilled out into an uncontrollable brawl between them which required multiple security personnel along with police officers themselves to eventually separate them; this eventually led to Vince McMahon himself intervening and demanding that both men be escorted out of Milwaukee Arena immediately As both men were being escorted out however – with Mankind asking McMahon if he could say something first before leaving only for McMahon telling him “No!” multiple times whilst pushing him towards one of Arena security guards who was helping escort Mankind out – Lord Steven Regal came out from backstage followed closely by Dude Love who proceeded down towards ringside while taunting both Austin & McMahon along their way down there

Lynch began her professional wrestling career on the European independent circuit in 2002. In June 2014, she signed a contract with WWE and was assigned to their developmental brand NXT, where she joined Bayley and Charlotte as part of the latter’s storyline as “The Four Horsewomen”. The stable helped increase mainstream interest in women’s wrestling within WWE and throughout North America. In early 2015, Lynch made her main roster debut on the SmackDown brand, quickly finding herself in a storyline with Paige and Naomi which led to her first title opportunity at WrestleMania 31, where she unsuccessfully challenged for the Divas Championship.

Over the next two years, Lynch remained a prominent character on SmackDown, winning both the SmackDown Women’s Championship and its predecessor the Divas Championship once each; she also won her first campaign as Ms. Money in the Bank in 2016. During this time, Lynch also became known for using social media to build up rivalries, most notably with Charlotte Flair; this culminated in a “Winner Takes All” match for both titles at Hell in a Cell in October 2016 which saw Lynch lose both titles. After a hiatus due to injury, Lynch returned at SummerSlam in August 2018 and immediately inserted herself into the title picture for both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships; she would go on to win both titles later that year at Evolution (the first all-women’s pay-per-view event produced by WWE) and again at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs (becoming only the second woman ever – after Trish Stratus – to hold both titles simultaneously). During this time, Lynch emerged as one of WWE’s biggest stars among male and female audiences alike due largely to her rebel gimmick which saw her become more aggressive and outspoken than most other women on the roster. She has been dubbed “The Man” by fans as well as fellow wrestlers due to her accomplishments within WWE.
