Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook is currently the NBA’s highest paid player, earning an annual salary of $38.6 million. The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard signed a multi-year extension with the team in September of 2017, worth a total of $205 million. Westbrook has been named an All-Star six times and was the league MVP in 2017.

Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden is the NBA’s highest paid player, earning $38.2 million in 2019-20. Harden is in the midst of a four-year, $170 million extension he signed with the Rockets in 2016. He’ll make $46.8 million in 2020-21 and has a player option for $47.4 million in 2021-22. Harden is also eligible for a supermax extension worth up to $228 million over five years next summer.
