Who Is Sitting Out Week 18 of the NFL Season?

Here’s a list of NFL players who are sitting out Week 18 of the season.

Who Is Sitting Out Week 18 of the NFL Season?

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have clinched the top seed in the AFC and will have home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. As a result, the Patriots will be resting some of their starters in Week 18.

Tom Brady

Tom Brady, the New England Patriots’ veteran quarterback, is sitting out Week 18 of the NFL season.

The 42-year-old Brady, who has played in every game for the Patriots this season, will be replaced by backup QB Brian Hoyer for New England’s regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins.

Brady has started all 16 games for the Patriots this season, throwing for 4,355 yards and 29 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He has also rushed for two touchdowns.

Hoyer, who signed with the Patriots this offseason, has appeared in three games this season, completing 19 of 23 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown.

Rob Gronkowski

Rob Gronkowski, the star tight end for the New England Patriots, is sitting out week 18 of the NFL season. Gronkowski has been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that has limited his production this season. The Patriots are resting Gronkowski in hopes that he will be healthy for their playoff run.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers have decided to sit out Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and a few other key starters for their week 18 matchup against the Detroit Lions. They have already clinched the number one seed in the NFC and have nothing to gain by playing their starters in a meaningless game.

Aaron Rodgers

Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers is set to miss week 18 of the NFL season due to a concussion he suffered in week 17. This will be the first time in his career that Rodgers has missed a game due to injury.

Davante Adams

Davante Adams (foot) will not play in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur announced Friday.

Adams was listed as questionable on the injury report after practice Thursday and Friday. He was a limited participant both days.

The star wide receiver has not played since he suffered a turf toe injury during the Packers’ Week 10 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has missed Green Bay’s last seven games.

In Adams’ absence, Marques Valdes-Scantling has flourished as the Packers’ No. 1 receiver. Valdes-Scantling has caught 21 passes for 455 yards and four touchdowns in the seven games Adams has missed.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have already clinched the NFC East title and a first-round bye in the playoffs, so they will be resting some of their starters in Week 18. This means that we could see some backups getting significant playing time. Who are the players that you should keep an eye on?

Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz will not play in week 18 of the NFL season.

Alshon Jeffery

Alshon Jeffery is an American football wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at South Carolina, and was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. With the Eagles, Jeffery has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice.

Jeffery was born in St. Matthews, South Carolina. He attended Calhoun County High School in St. Matthews, where he played high school football for the Calhoun County Red Raiders. As a senior, he had 67 receptions for 1,513 yards and 23 touchdowns. He was also a track star at Calhoun County, where he ran personal bests of 11.42 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 22.8 seconds in the 200-meter dash.[1]

Jeffery played college football at South Carolina from 2009 to 2011. As a freshman in 2009, he appeared in 11 games with two starts and had 19 receptions for 363 yards and three touchdowns. As a sophomore in 2010, he started all 13 games and had 49 receptions for 762 yards and six touchdowns.[2] As a junior in 2011, he started all 12 games and had 88 receptions for 1,517 yards and nine touchdowns.[3] After the season, he was a unanimous first-team All-SEC selection,[4] and was also recognized as a consensus first-team All-American.[5][6][7]

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams will be resting some of their starters in week 18 as they have already clinched the top spot in the NFC. This means that some of their key players will not be suiting up for the game. This includes quarterback Jared Goff, running back Todd Gurley, and wide receiver Robert Woods.

Jared Goff

Jared Goff will be sitting out week 18 of the NFL season. This will be a big loss for the Los Angeles Rams, as Goff is their starting quarterback. However, the Rams have a strong backup in John Wolford, who will be starting in place of Goff. The Rams are still expected to win their division and make the playoffs.

Todd Gurley

Todd Gurley, the talented running back for the Los Angeles Rams, is sitting out week 18 of the NFL season. This rests him up for the playoffs while also allowing other players on the team to get some playing time. While it may seem like a risky move to some, Gurley has shown himself to be a reliable player that the team can count on.
