We take a look at the current Tag Team Champions in WWE and their impressive accomplishments.

The Miz and John Morrison

The Miz and John Morrison are the current WWE Tag Team Champions. They have held the title for a total of days. Miz and Morrison are the fifth team to hold the title under the current WWE Tag Team Championship reign.

How they won the titles

On the October 12, 2020 episode of Raw, The Miz and John Morrison (accompanied by Maryse) defeated The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) to win the Raw Tag Team Championship for the first time as a team, making Miz a 13-time tag team champion overall. This is Miz and Morrison’s fourth reign as tag team champions in WWE and second as Raw Tag Team Champions.

Their previous title reigns

Miz and Morrison held the WWE Tag Team Championship once before, defeating The Colóns ( Primo and Carlito) on October 6, 2008. They held the title for two months before losing it back to The Colóns on December 16, 2008.

Sheamus and Cesaro

Tag Team Champions in WWE: Who are they? Sheamus and Cesaro are currently the Tag Team Champions in WWE. They are a very dominant team and have held the titles for a long time.

How they won the titles

On the November 7, 2017 episode of Raw, Cesaro and Sheamus defeated The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) in a Tables match to win the Raw Tag Team Championship for the first time as a team. This marked Cesaro’s fourth reign and Sheamus’ sixth.

Their previous title reigns

Sheamus and Cesaro are the current WWE Tag Team Champions, having defeated The Hardy Boyz at Extreme Rules on July 16, 2017.

This is the first time that Sheamus has held the WWE Tag Team Championship and the second time Cesaro has held the title, with his previous reign coming as part of The Kingdom with Xavier Woods and Big E.

Prior to their title win, both Sheamus and Cesaro had held numerous titles in WWE. Sheamus is a four-time WWE Champion, having held the title on two occasions, while Cesaro is a former United States Champion and a one-time NXT Tag Team Champion.

New Day

New Day is a professional wrestling tag team who are currently signed to WWE. The team consists of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. They are currently in their second reign as WWE Tag Team Champions. New Day made their debut in November 2014 and quickly became one of the most popular tag teams in WWE history.

How they won the titles

On the October 28, 2019 episode of Raw, while challenged by The O.C. (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson) for their Tag Team Championship, Rollins and Strowman were ambushed backstage by “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. The following week on Raw, it was announced that The Fiend had attacked both men and as a result, they would not be able to compete at Crown Jewel. At the event, Tyson Fury won a Triple Threat tag team match involving Gallows & Anderson and Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode when he pinned Roode to become the new WWE Universal Champion.

The following night on Raw, in a rematch from Crown Jewel, The O.C. defeated Rollins and Strowman to win the Tag Team Championship after Styles pinned Strowman with a Phenomenal Forearm.

New Day is a professional wrestling tag team in WWE, currently composed of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. They are former two-time WWE Tag Team Champions, with their first reign lasting 483 days (the longest in WWE history) and their second lasting 77 days.
