Talib has also played for the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. With the Patriots, he won Super Bowl XLIX over the Seattle Seahawks. He has been selected to five Pro Bowls, and named a first-team All-Pro in 2016.

Xavier also competed as a high jumper and long jumper.

Rhodes was born in Miami, Florida. He attended Miami Norland High School, where he played high school football for the Norland Vikings. He was considered a three-star recruit by Rivals.com.

Rhodes played college football at Florida State from 2009 to 2012. As a freshman in 2009, he played in 13 games and recorded 24 tackles. As a sophomore in 2010, he started seven games and had 37 tackles and two interceptions. As a junior in 2011, he started all 13 games and had 55 tackles, two interceptions, and one touchdown. As a senior in 2012, he started all 14 games and had 50 tackles and four interceptions
