3 point shooting percentage
In the National Basketball Association (NBA), the three-point field goal is a shot taken from outside the three-point line, a designated arc surrounding the basket. A successful attempt is worth three points, in contrast to the two points awarded for shots made inside the three-point line. Although it is possible to shoot a three-point field goal from anywhere behind the three-point line, the majority of attempts are taken from near the corners, where the shooter has a better angle to score.
Klay Alexander Thompson III (born February 8, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the NBA. A five-time NBA All-Star and two-time All-NBA Third Team honoree, he has also been named one of the NBA’s best shooters and one of its best defensive players.
In 2014–15, he set an NBA record with 272 three-pointers made in a season. That year, he was unanimously named to his first All-Star Game and was part of his first championship team after helping lead the Warriors to their first NBA title since 1975. The following season, he became only the seventh player in history to win an NBA championship, an Olympic gold medal, and an NCAA championship after being part of Team USA’s gold medal winning team at 2016 Summer Olympics.
