Who is the Best NBA Player in 2016?
We’re taking a look at who the best NBA player is in 2016. There are a lot of great players in the league, but only one can be the best. Who do you think it is?
LeBron James
LeBron James is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has won three NBA championships, four NBA Most Valuable Player Awards, three NBA Finals MVP Awards, two Olympic gold medals, an NBA scoring title, and the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He has also been selected to twelve NBA All-Star teams, twelve All-NBA teams, and six All-Defensive teams. James played high school basketball at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, where he was highly promoted in the national media as a future NBA superstar. A prep-to-pro, he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003 as the first overall draft pick. Named the 2003–04 NBA Rookie of the Year, he soon established himself as one of the league’s premier players; LeBron garnered massive nightly double-teams and led Cleveland to their first franchise playoff berth in 2006. In 2007, he was named Most Valuable Player of the year and again led his team to the NBA Finals but they were defeated by Spurs in a closeout.
Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is considered by many to be one of the best players in the NBA, and was voted the league’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Curry led the Warriors to their first championship in 40 years in 2015, and their second in 2017. He has also been selected to five All-Star teams, five All-NBA teams, and three All-Defensive teams.
Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook is an American professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a eight-time NBA All-Star, and a two-time All-NBA Second Team member. He is also the 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player. He leads the league in scoring and is second in assists, helping lead the Thunder to the playoffs for the sixth consecutive year.
Kevin Durant
As the MVP of the regular season and Finals, as well as the leading scorer in the playoffs, Kevin Durant has had one of the best years ever for an NBA player. He has shown incredible skill and consistency throughout the season, leading his team to victory time and time again. Durant is also a great role model, who regularly gives back to his community. For all of these reasons, Kevin Durant is the best NBA player in 2016.
Chris Paul
Chris Paul is one of the best NBA players in 2016. He is a point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers. Paul was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets in 2005. He has played for the Hornets, Clippers, and Houston Rockets. He is a nine-time NBA All-Star. Paul was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2006. He is a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
