He has 686 receptions for 9,145 yards and 52 touchdowns in that span, an average of 96 catches for 1,321 yards and 8.0 touchdowns per season. His catch total is the fourth most in any four-year span in NFL history, and his yardage total is the sixth most. In 2017, Brown was named to his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl and was named first-team All-Pro for the fourth time in his career.

He played college football at Central Michigan University, where he earned All-American honors in 2008 and 2009 as a punt returner. A fifth round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010, Brown has become one of the NFL’s most productive receivers, leading the league in receptions and receiving yards in 2014 and 2017. He has been selected to seven Pro Bowls, and was named first-team All-Pro four times.
Brown was born on July 10, 1988, in Miami, Florida. He attended Miami Norland High School, where he played both football and track. Brown played football as a receiver and also served as a kick returner. He helped lead his team to the state championships in 2004 and 2005. Brown also competed as a sprinter on Norland’s track & field team. He placed 2nd in the 100 meters at the 2006 GMAC Conference Championships, with a time of 10.94 seconds.
In 2007, Brown enrolled at Central Michigan University (CMU). As a freshman that year, he appeared in 12 games and had 19 receptions for 485 yards and five touchdowns. In 2008, he was CMU’s primary punt returner; he returned 37 punts for 572 yards and three touchdowns. That year he also had 61 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns.
In 2009, Brown was named a First-Team All-American as a punt returner by both the Associated Press (AP) and the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA). He was also named First-Team All-Mid American Conference (MAC) as a wide receiver after catching 67 passes for 1,094 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Brown was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round (195th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. Since 2013, no player has more catches on passes thrown 20-plus yards downfield than Hopkins (163). His 2,448 receiving yards on such throws are second only to Julio Jones’ 2,549.

In my opinion, the best receiver in the NFL right now is Michael Thomas of the New Orleans Saints. Thomas has had an incredible start to his career, and he shows no signs of slowing down. In just three seasons, Thomas has already caught more than 300 passes for over 3,500 yards and 25 touchdowns. He is a physical specimen who is not afraid to go over the middle and make the tough catch. Thomas has also shown that he is a great route runner with great hands.
