There’s a lot of debate surrounding who is the best player in the NBA right now. Some say it’s LeBron James, others say it’s Steph Curry. Who do you think is the best player in the NBA right now?
LeBron James
LeBron James is often considered the best basketball player in the world and has been for some time. He is a four-time NBA MVP and was named NBA Finals MVP three times. He has also been named to the All-NBA First Team 12 times, which is the most in league history. In addition to his individual accolades, he has also led his teams to nine NBA Finals appearances, winning three championships.
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played two seasons of college basketball for the San Diego State Aztecs, and was named a consensus second-team All-American as a sophomore. He was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, but was traded to the San Antonio Spurs on draft night. Leonard won an NBA championship with the Spurs in 2014 and was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. He was named to his first All-Star team in 2016 and his second in 2019.
During his seven seasons with the Spurs, Leonard established himself as one of the best two-way players in the league, winning Defensive Player of the Year honors twice (in 2015 and 2016) and finishing second in voting for Most Valuable Player in 2016. In 2017, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors in a blockbuster deal that sent fan favorite DeMar DeRozan to San Antonio. In Toronto, Leonard helped lead the Raptors to their first NBA championship in franchise history and was once again named Finals MVP.
Anthony Davis
Anthony Davis is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays the power forward and center positions. Davis was the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft by New Orleans, then known as the New Orleans Hornets. He was selected to his first NBA All-Star Game in 2014 and has been named to six All-Star teams, three All-NBA teams, and two NBA All-Defensive teams.
Russell Westbrook
In the 2016-2017 NBA season, Russell Westbrook had one of the most remarkable individual seasons in recent memory. He averaged a triple-double for the entire season, something that hasn’t been done since Oscar Robertson in 1962. He also set the single-season record for most triple-doubles with 42. For his efforts, he was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player.
There is no doubt that Westbrook is an incredible talent and he has had an amazing career. However, there are other players in the league who are also playing at a high level. LeBron James is widely considered to be the best player in the world and he is still performing at an elite level. Kevin Durant is another player who is often mentioned as being one of the best in the league.
So, who is the best player in the NBA right now? It’s hard to say for sure. All three of these players are incredible talents and they are all having great seasons. It will ultimately come down to personal preference when deciding who is the best player in the league.
