Tom Brady

There’s no doubt that Tom Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He’s led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl wins and has been named the Super Bowl MVP four times. Brady is currently ranked first in the NFL in passing yards and passing touchdowns. He’s also shown no signs of slowing down, as he led the Patriots to an AFC Championship win last season.

Aaron Rodgers

Right now, the best quarterback in the NFL is Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers has led the Packers to a 6-0 record so far this season, and he has thrown for 1,571 yards and 13 touchdowns with just three interceptions. Rodgers is also a very good rusher, and he has already run for two touchdowns this season. In 2015, Rodgers was named the NFL MVP, and he has also been named to six Pro Bowls.

In recent years, the NFL has been a quarterback-driven league. Many of the league’s best teams have been led by stellar play from their signal callers, and the annual MVP award has almost exclusively gone to quarterbacks since 2010. After much deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that Drew Brees is the best quarterback in the NFL right now. Brees has been one of the league’s top quarterbacks for more than a decade now, and he shows no signs of slowing down. At 41 years old, he is still playing at an incredibly high level and is a big reason why the New Orleans Saints are one of the best teams in the NFL.

Brees is currently leading the league in passing yards (3,992) and passing touchdowns (33), and he has thrown just eight interceptions on the season. He is also completing 76.5 percent of his passes, which is an extremely high percentage. In fact, it is on pace to be one of the highest single-season completion percentages in NFL history.

Brees has always been an accurate passer, but what has been most impressive about his play this season is his ability to make plays downfield. He is averaging 8.23 yards per attempt, which is second in the NFL behind only Patrick Mahomes. Brees has also thrown 11 touchdown passes of 20 yards or more, which is tied for second-most in the NFL.

The Saints offense as a whole has been incredibly difficult to stop this season, and Brees has been the driving force behind it. He deserves to be considered the best quarterback in the NFL right now and is a big reason why New Orleans looks like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
