Between 1919 and 1920, the Packers competed against other semi-pro clubs from around Wisconsin and Michigan. They joined the American Professional Football Association (APFA), now known as the National Football League (NFL), in 1921. The club was a success on and off of feeling much like a throwback to those early days of pro football with local ownership, family feel yet still being competitive year-in and year-out. The Packers have won 13 league championships, more than any other team affiliated with America’s National Football League except for two other teams who have won more Super Bowls than Green Bay ( Pittsburgh Steelers with six wins and New England Patriots with five wins).
