Who Is The Number One Quarterback In The NFL?
It’s a question that every football fan has asked at one point or another: who is the number one quarterback in the NFL?
Tom Brady
Tom Brady is the number one quarterback in the NFL. He has played in ten Super Bowls, winning seven of them. He is a three-time NFL MVP and a four-time Super Bowl MVP. Brady has also been selected to 14 Pro Bowls. He is the all-time leader in most regular season wins, most playoff wins, and most Super Bowl appearances.

He is also one of only two quarterbacks to have won five Super Bowls, and he is the only player to have won them all playing for one team. Brady has been named Super Bowl MVP four times, and he was the league MVP in 2007. He has also been selected to 14 Pro Bowls.
Six-time Super Bowl champion
Tom Brady is an American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He has played in ten Super Bowls, winning seven of them, and is the only quarterback in NFL history to have won a Super Bowl in his first season as a starter. Four-time Super Bowl MVP
Tom Brady is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He is one of only two players to win five Super Bowls (the other being defensive player Charles Haley), and he is the only player to win them all playing for one team. Brady has also been selected for 11 Pro Bowls, and he was named the NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) four times.
Drew Brees
In my opinion, Drew Brees is the best quarterback in the NFL. He has led the New Orleans Saints to victory in Super Bowl XLIV and has been selected to eleven Pro Bowls. He has also been named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year twice.
New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees is an American football quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He had a prolific college career for the Purdue Boilermakers, earning Big Ten Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2000. The San Diego Chargers drafted him in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft with the first overall pick. He left college as one of the most decorated players in Purdue and Big Ten history, establishing two NCAA records, 11 Big Ten Conference records and 19 Purdue University records. As of 2017, he remains ranked as the Big Ten’s all-time leader in passing yards (11,792) and touchdowns (90).
One-time Super Bowl champion
Drew Brees is a one-time Super Bowl champion, and he is the New Orleans Saints’ all-time leading passer. He was born in Austin, Texas, on January 15, 1979. Brees played college football at Purdue University and was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He joined the Saints in 2006 and led them to their first Super Bowl title in 2010.
One-time Super Bowl MVP
Drew Brees is an American football quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He had a successful college career with the Purdue Boilermakers, where he was twice recognized as a consensus All-American and won several awards, including the 2001 Maxwell Award for best overall collegiate player. Brees was selected by the San Diego Chargers with the first pick in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He disappointed many Chargers fans by missing six games due to injury in his first season and then led them to a disappointing 5–11 record in 2002.
In 2004, he helped lead them to their first winning season in over a decade and was selected as NFL Comeback Player of the Year by The Sporting News after throwing for 3,159 yards and 21 touchdowns. The following year, he set then-NFL records for completions (416) and completion percentage (70.6%). Brees has continued to be one of the most productive quarterbacks in the NFL since joining the Saints in 2006, leading them to success in years such as 2009, when they won Super Bowl XLIV — their first championship victory — against the Indianapolis Colts. In 2010, he became just the sixth player in NFL history to throw for over 5,000 yards in a season and was named MVP of Super Bowl XLIV after leading his team to victory over the Colts once again.
Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers is the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of California, Berkeley, where he set several passing records, including single-season passing yards (4,295) and single-game passing yards (566). He was drafted by the Packers in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Rodgers is the NFL’s all-time regular season career leader in passing yards per game (313.8) and passer rating (103.8).
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference North division. It is the third-oldest franchise in the NFL, dating back to 1919, and is the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team based in the United States. Home games have been played at Lambeau Field since 1957.
The Packers are the last of the “small town teams” which were common in the NFL during the league’s early days of 1921 and 1922. Founded in 1919 by Earl “Curly” Lambeau and George Calhoun, the franchise traces its lineage to other semi-professional teams in Green Bay dating back to 1896. Between 1919 and 1920, the Packers competed against other semi-pro clubs from around Wisconsin and Michigan, before joining the American Professional Football Association (APFA), now known as the National Football League (NFL), in 1921. Although Green Bay is by far the smallest major league professional sports market in North America, Forbes ranked it as the world’s 26th most valuable sports franchise in 2016, with a value of $2.35 billion.
The Packers have won 13 league championships, more than any other team in NFL history; with nine NFL titles before 1966 (pre-merger) and four Super Bowl victories afterwards (one prior to 1974 when there was no Super Bowl), resulting in an overall record of 13–1 in those championship games. The Packers won the first two Super Bowls in 1967 and 1968 and were runners-up of Super Bowl II after losing to John Riggins andthe Washington Redskins 17–10 at Miami’s Orange Bowl Stadium .
Two-time NFL MVP
Aaron Rodgers is a two-time NFL MVP and was named Super Bowl MVP after leading the Green Bay Packers to victory in Super Bowl XLV. He is the all-time leading passer in NFL history with a career passer rating of 103.6.
Rodgers was born and raised in Chico, California. He played quarterback for the University of California, Berkeley Golden Bears from 2003 to 2004. He was drafted by the Packers in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
Rodgers has been selected to eight Pro Bowls and was named First-Team All-Pro four times. He was also named Associated Press Athlete of the Year in 2011 and 2014.
One-time Super Bowl champion
In 2011, the Packers earned a regular season record of 15–1, and defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31–25 in Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium, giving Rodgers and the Packers their first Super Bowl title together. Rodgers was named Super Bowl MVP, completing 24 of 39 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns. In the 2012 season, Rodgers led the Packers to an NFC North division title with an 11–5 record. He also set new career highs in passing yards (4,295) and touchdown passes (39), while only throwing 8 interceptions. In 2013, he was selected to his second consecutive Pro Bowl. The Packers finished 8-7-1 and missed the playoffs after a Week 17 loss to the rival Bears. In 2014, he was again selected for the Pro Bowl. The Packers finished 12-4 in 2014 and made it to NFC Championship game where they were defeated by eventual Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks 28-22 in overtime. After winning their first 5 games in 2015, the Packers went on to lose 6 out of their next 7 games, finishing with a 10-6 record and missing the playoffs.
Russell Wilson
Seattle Seahawks
Russell Wilson is an American football quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Wisconsin during his junior year, and was drafted by the Seahawks with the 12th pick in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Since then, Wilson has led the Seahawks to eight playoff appearances (2012–2019), five division championships (2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019), and one Super Bowl victory (Super Bowl XLVIII).
Four-time Pro Bowl selection
Russell Wilson is a four-time Pro Bowl selection who has led the Seattle Seahawks to six NFC West titles, three NFC championships, and one Super Bowl victory. He is widely considered to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and his on-field accomplishments speak for themselves.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Wilson was a three-sport athlete in high school and played college football at North Carolina State before transferring to the University of Wisconsin. He was drafted by the Seahawks in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft and immediately stepped into a starting role.
In his eight NFL seasons, Wilson has thrown for over 25,000 yards and 200 touchdown passes. He has also rushed for over 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns. His career quarterback rating of 100.6 is the best in NFL history.
Wilson has been named the NFL’s MVP twice (in 2013 and 2014), and he was also named Super Bowl XLVIII’s MVP after leading the Seahawks to a 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos.
Two-time NFL passing leader
