Early Life
Zion Williamson was born in Salisbury, North Carolina, on July 6, 2000, to Sharonda Sampson and Lateef Williamson. His mother was a high school basketball star and his father played minor league baseball. Williamson was a voracious athlete as a child, playing every sport he could. In elementary school, he was already 6 feet tall and by the time he entered high school, he had grown to 6’6″.
