Wilson was drafted in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Wyoming. He was a three-year starter at weakside linebacker for the Cowboys, tallying 274 tackles (19.5 for loss), seven sacks, five forced fumbles and four interceptions in his collegiate career.
During his rookie season with the Bengals, Wilson appeared in all 16 games and recorded 77 tackles (four for loss), two sacks, one forced fumble and one interception.
His Future in the NFL
The youngest player in the NFL right now is Miami Dolphins’ linebacker, Sam Ecoff. He was born on May 7, 1998, which makes him just 20 years old. Though he is still very young, he has already shown a lot of promise and is considered to be one of the most promising young players in the league.
Ecoff was drafted by the Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft and has since been a regular starter for them. He has played in all 16 of their games so far this season and has recorded 61 tackles, 3 sacks, and 1 interception. His performance has been impressive and he looks like he has a very bright future ahead of him.
It is still too early to say how far Ecoff will go in his career, but there is no doubt that he has the potential to be a great player. He still has a lot of developing to do, but if he continues to progress at his current rate then there is no reason why he can’t become one of the best players in the NFL.
