Who Leads The NFL?

It’s safe to say that the NFL has seen its fair share of great quarterbacks over the years. But the question remains, who leads the NFL?

The NFL’s Top Teams

The NFL is full of parity this season. No team has really taken control of the league and established themselves as the best. However, there are a few teams that have separated themselves from the pack and are looking like the teams to beat. These are the NFL’s top teams.

The New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston area. The Patriots compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Gillette Stadium in the town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, which is located 28 miles (45 km) southwest of downtown Boston.

The Patriots are also headquartered at Gillette Stadium. An original member of the American Football League (AFL), the Patriots joined the NFL in the AFL–NFL merger in 1970. The team changed its name from the original Baltimore Colts to the Cincinnati Bengals in 1971. The Patrtiots played their home games at Fenway Park from 1971 to 2001, then moved to Gillette Stadium upon its opening in 2002.

The Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) North division. It is the third-oldest franchise in the NFL, dating back to 1919, and is the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team based in the United States. Home games have been played at Lambeau Field since 1957.

The Packers are the last of the “small town teams” which were common in the NFL during the league’s early days of 1922 and 1923. Founded in 1919 by Earl “Curly” Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun, the franchise traces its lineage to other semi-professional teams in Green Bay dating back to 1896. Between 1919 and 1920, the Packers competed against other semi-pro clubs from around Wisconsin and Michigan, before joining the American Professional Football Association (APFA), the forerunner of today’s NFL, in 1921. Although Green Bay is by far the smallest major league professional sports market in North America, Forbes ranked the Packers as the world’s 26th most valuable sports franchise in 2016, with a value of $2.35 billion.

The Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) East division. They are headquartered in Frisco, Texas, and play their home games at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which opened for the 2009 season. The stadium took the place of the Cotton Bowl as the home stadium of the cowboys. The team’s headquarters and practice facilities are at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

After being drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, he became their starting quarterback during his rookie season after Tony Romo was injured.

The NFL’s Top Coaches

Any given Sunday, any team in the NFL can win. But who leads those teams? These are the NFL’s top coaches, the men who have their fingers on the pulse of the game and their teams. These are the men who have what it takes to take their team to the Super Bowl.

Bill Belichick

Belichick has been the head coach of the New England Patriots since 2000, and his team has won six Super Bowls during that time. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, and he has led his team to more conference championship appearances than any other head coach in the league. Belichick has also been named Coach of the Year three times, and he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007.

Mike McCarthy

Mike McCarthy is an American football coach who is the head coach of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He led the Packers to a Super Bowl title in 2010.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, McCarthy played football at Baker University, a small school in Kansas. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Fort Hays State University before working his way up the ranks. He was hired as the Packers’ head coach in 2006.

McCarthy has been praised for his offensive schemes and game-planning. He has also been criticized for his play-calling and clock management.

Jason Garrett

In his ninth full season as the Cowboys’ head coach, Jason Garrett has compiled a record of 87-56 (.607), including three NFC East division championships (2016, 2018-19), and led Dallas to the playoffs in five of his eight full seasons at the helm. Along with Tom Landry and Barry Switzer, Garrett is one of only three coaches in franchise history to lead the team to three division titles. Garrett, who was born in Claremont, Calif., and attended University High School in Irvine, Calif., before playing quarterback at Princeton University, is one of only four NFL head coaches who both played and coached at Princeton (tied with Dick Vermeil, Gary Moeller and Marv Levy).
