The first-ballot Hall of Famers

This year’s class of Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees is a star-studded group, including first-ballot enshrinees Reggie Wayne and Jared Allen. Here’s a look at the full list of 2020 Hall of Fame inductees:

-Reggie Wayne: 14-time Pro Bowl wide receiver who played for the Indianapolis Colts and ranks seventh in NFL history with 1,070 catches.
-Jared Allen: Five-time Pro Bowl defensive end who played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, finishing his career with 136 sacks.
-Tony Boselli: Five-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle who played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 1995 to 2001.
-Isaac Bruce: Four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver who played for the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers, ranking fourth in NFL history with 15,208 receiving yards.

Others inductees include former Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis, ex-Minnesota Vikings center Mick Tingelhoff, and former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher.

The finalists

The finalists for the 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame class were announced Wednesday, and they are:

-Edward DeBartolo Jr., owner of the San Francisco 49ers from 1977 to 2000
-Tom Flores, coach of the Raiders from 1979 to 1987
-Steve Atwater, safety for the Broncos from 1989 to 1998
-Tony Boselli, offensive tackle for the Jaguars from 1995 to 2001
-Isaac Bruce, wide receiver for the Rams from 1994 to 2007
-LeRoy Butler, safety for the Packers from 1990 to 2001
-Charles Haley, defensive end/linebacker for the 49ers from 1986 to 1991 and the Cowboys from 1992 to 1996
-John Lynch, safety for the Buccaneers from 1993 to 2003 and the Broncos from 2004 to 2007
-Kevin Mawae, center/guard for the Seahawks from 1994 to 1997, Jets from 1998 to 2005 and Titans from 2006 to 2009

The contributors

The 2020 class for the NFL Hall of Fame was just announced, and there are 7 new members. These are the men who made the cut this year:

-Tom Brady: Brady is one of the most decorated quarterbacks in NFL history. He has won 6 Super Bowls, 4 Super Bowl MVPs, and 3 NFL MVPs. He is also the all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns.

-Calvin Johnson: Johnson was one of the most dominant receivers of his generation. He was a 6-time Pro Bowler and a 3-time First Team All Pro. He retired as the Lions’ all-time leader in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns.

-Steve Hutchinson: Hutchinson was a 7-time Pro Bowler and a 5-time First Team All Pro during his time with the Seahawks, Vikings, and Titans. He was considered one of the best offensive linemen of his era.

-Edgerrin James: James was a 4-time Pro Bowler during his 11 seasons with the Colts, Cardinals, and Seahawks. He is one of only 15 running backs to eclipse 12,000 rushing yards in their career.

-John Lynch: Lynch was a 9-time Pro Bowler during his 15 seasons with the Buccaneers and Broncos. He was considered one of the best safeties of his generation and helped lead both teams to Super Bowl victories.

-Alan Faneca: Faneca was a 9-time Pro Bowler during his 13 seasons with the Steelers, Jets, and Cardinals. He was considered one of the best offensive linemen of his era and helped lead the Steelers to a Super Bowl victory in 2005.

-Peyton Manning: Manning is one of the most decorated quarterbacks in NFL history. He has won 2 Super Bowls, 5 NFL MVPs, and 14 Pro Bowls during his time with the Colts and Broncos. He is also the all-time leader in passing yards and passing touchdowns.

The seniors

The 2020 class for the Pro Football Hall of Fame was selected on Saturday night, with a group of 14 players, coaches and contributors being elected in Canton, Ohio.

Of the 14 members of the class of 2020, six were voted in by the selection committee as part of the “contributors” category. They are: Bill Nunn, Steve Sabol, Ed Sabol, Ron Wolf, Paul Tagliabue and George Young.

The eight players who were voted in are Jerry Rice, Kevin Greene, Brett Favre, Marvin Harrison, Orlando Pace,Alan Faneca ,Pat Bowlen and Jim Kelly.
