Game 2

In Game 2 of the 2016 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors came out on top with a 112-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Klay Thompson led the way for the Warriors, scoring 22 points, while Draymond Green chipped in with 21 points and 10 rebounds. LeBron James was once again excellent for the Cavaliers, finishing with 28 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, but it wasn’t enough as the Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the series.

The Golden State Warriors win Game 3 of the NBA Finals 103–82 to take a commanding 3–0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Draymond Green posts a triple double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists while Stephen Curry scores 30 points. Cavaliers forward Kevin Love leaves the game in the first quarter after colliding with Warriors center Zaza Pachulia and does not return. He is later diagnosed with a concussion.

Game 4

Game four was a108-75 victory for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who improved to 3-1 in the best-of-seven series. Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson had a monster game, with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Cavs power forward Kevin Love also had a big night, scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 boards. Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson scored a team-high 17 points in the losing effort.

Game 5

The Golden State Warriors won the NBA Finals for the second year in a row, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 in Game 5 on Monday night.

It was a back-and-forth affair for most of the game, with neither team able to gain a significant advantage. However, the Warriors took control in the fourth quarter and never looked back.

Stephen Curry led the way for Golden State, scoring 34 points on 12-of-24 shooting. He also added six rebounds and seven assists. Kevin Durant was right behind him with 33 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

For Cleveland, LeBron James was once again magnificent, finishing with 32 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Kyrie Irving also had a big game, scoring 30 points on 12-of-23 shooting.

Draymond Green was suspended for Game 5 after receiving his fourth flagrant foul point of the playoffs, and the Cavaliers won that game to stay alive.

The Warriors were favored to win Game 7, but the Cavs came out strong and took an early lead. The Warriors battled back, and the two teams were neck-and-neck for most of the game. With just seconds left on the clock, Cavs forward LeBron James made a clutch three-pointer to give his team a lead they would not relinquish. When the final buzzer sounded, the Cavaliers had won their first NBA Championship in franchise history by a score of 93-89.
