Who Owns OG Esports?

Introduction

OG is a Danish professional esports organization founded in 2015. It has teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, and FIFA. With roots in the Counter-Strike scene, the organization has fielded players in some of the most successful lineups of all time and is widely considered one of the most reputable organizations in esports.

The current CEO of OG is Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez Santiago. He is a former professional gamer and the owner of G2 Esports.

In October 2015, OG’s Dota 2 team won The International 2015, becoming the first ever crowdfunded team to do so. This victory earned them over $6 million USD and cemented their place as one of the most successful teams in history.

In January 2019, it was announced that OG had signed Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein to their Dota 2 roster. With this addition, OG became the first ever org to have won two consecutive Valve majors; these were The International 2018 and The International 2019 – something which many deem impossible.

History of OG Esports

OG esport’s is a competitive gaming team that was established in 2008 by players from different backgrounds. In 2018, the team won The International, which is the biggest annual event for Dota 2. This made OG esport’s the first team to ever win two consecutive International championships.

The team is currently owned by Johan Sundstein, who is better known in the gaming community by his alias “N0tail”. He is a Danish professional gamer who has been playing video games since he was a child. N0tail originally started out playing World of Warcraft and then moved on to play Heroes of Newerth before finally making the switch to Dota 2 in 2011.
