Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are an American professional basketball team based in Los Angeles, California. The Lakers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as a member of the league’s Western Conference in the Pacific Division.

LeBron James

LeBron Raymone James (/ləˈbrɒn/; born December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is widely considered to be one of the greatest basketball players in NBA history. James played high school basketball at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, where he was highly promoted in the national media as a future NBA superstar. After graduating, he was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the first overall pick of the 2003 NBA draft. James led Cleveland to their first Finals appearance in 2007, losing to the San Antonio Spurs. In 2010, he left the Cavaliers for the Miami Heat in a highly publicized ESPN special titled The Decision. As a member of Miami, James won back-to-back NBA championships in 2012 and 2013 and was named league MVP and Finals MVP in both championship years. After his fourth season with Miami, James rejoined the Cavaliers. In 2016–17, he became only the seventh player in NBA history to win a championship with three franchises when he helped lead Cleveland to defeating defending champion Golden State Warriors in seven games during that year’s Finals to earn his third ring with that city.

James has appeared in fifteen NBA All-Star Games and been named league MVP four times (2009, 2010, 2012, 2013). He won his first two MVP awards while playing for Cleveland before winning consecutive awards while playing for Miami. He has also been named All-NBA First Team twelve times (2006–2018), All-Defensive First Team five times (2009–2013), and Rookie of the Year (2004). In 2018, he became only one of four players to have ever won an NBA championship as both player and head coach after leading the Cavaliers to their fourth title that year over Golden State. Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays the power forward and center positions. Davis was born in Chicago, Illinois and played college basketball for the University of Kentucky. He was selected first overall by the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2012 NBA draft, becoming the franchise’s first ever number one draft pick.

The Clippers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Western Conference Pacific Division. The Clippers play their home games at Staples Center, an arena shared with fellow NBA team the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), and the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL).

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played two seasons of college basketball for the San Diego State Aztecs, and was named a consensus second-team All-American and the Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year in his second season. Leonard was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, but was traded to the Spurs on draft night.

As a rookie, Leonard was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team, but during his second season, he suffered a fracture in his right hand that limited him to nine games. In his third season, Leonard earned a spot on the NBA All-Defensive Second Team, and led the Spurs in steals. He continued to improve during his fourth season, being named an All-Star for the first time, and winning his first Defensive Player of the Year award. He helped lead the Spurs to their fifth NBA championship in 2014, and was named Finals MVP.

In 2015–16, Leonard became only one of four players to average at least 20 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals per game in a single season as he earned All-Star and All-NBA Second Team honors for a second consecutive year. The Spurs lost in seven games to eventual champion LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals despite having a 3–1 series lead; Leonard missed Game 6 and 7 due to an ankle injury suffered early in Game 5. After recovering from Quadriceps tendinopathy that caused him to miss most of 2017–18 regular season action (including all of playoffs), Leonard won his second NBA championship with Toronto Raptors after defeating Golden State Warriors in six games during 2019 NBA Finals; he became only one of two players (alongside Max Zaslofsky) ever to have won an NCAA championship, an NBL championship and an NBA championship.

Paul George

Paul George is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a ten-time NBA All-Star and has been named five times to the All-NBA Team and five times to the NBA All-Defensive Team. George was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017. In 2019, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Milwaukee Bucks are an American professional basketball team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They are members of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and compete in the league’s Eastern Conference Central Division. The Bucks play their home games at the Fiserv Forum.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo was born in Greece to Nigerian parents. He is Greece’s top basketball player, and was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2013 NBA draft. He is 2.11 m (6 ft 11 in) tall, and plays the forward and center positions. In 2019, he was named the NBA Most Valuable Player, and led the Bucks to their best regular season record in franchise history. He is nicknamed the “Greek Freak” due to his exceptional athleticism and ability to play multiple positions.

Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Toronto, Ontario. The Raptors compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. They were established in 1995 as part of the NBA’s expansion into Canada.

Pascal Siakam

Pascal Siakam is a professional basketball player who was born on April 2, 1994, in Douala, Cameroon. He is currently a forward for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Siakam played college basketball for New Mexico State University before being selected by the Raptors with the 27th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. He has since won an NBA championship with Toronto in 2019 and was named the NBA Most Improved Player in 2020.

Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are an American professional basketball team based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Celtics compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. They play their home games at the TD Garden, which they share with the National Hockey League (NHL)’s Boston Bruins.

Kemba Walker

Celtics point guard Kemba Walker has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a sore left knee, the team announced.

This is the second straight game that Walker has missed due to the knee issue. He did not play in Friday’s win over the Indiana Pacers.

The 30-year-old is averaging 21.8 points, 5.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game this season.

Jayson Tatum

Jayson Tatum (born March 3, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the Celtics with the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. He played one season of college basketball for Duke University before entering the NBA.

Tatum attended Chaminade College Preparatory School in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in his class. He played in the 2016 McDonald’s All-American Game, where he was named co-MVP, and was also named to the Jordan Brand Classic and Nike Hoop Summit rosters. As a freshman at Duke in 2016–17, Tatum averaged 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, and was named ACC Rookie of the Year. After suffering an injury during his lone season at Duke, he declared for the 2017 NBA draft where he was selected by the Celtics with the third overall pick.
