AFC

The American Football Conference (AFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL). The AFC was formed in 1970 as a result of the AFL–NFL merger. According to the NFL website, as of 2002, it contains 16 teams organized into four divisions each with four teams.

The National Football Conference (NFC) is one of the two conferences of the National Football League (NFL), the highest professional level of American football in the world. AFC

AFC East
Buffalo Bills: The Bills have a new head coach in Sean McDermott, and will look to rebound from a 7-9 season in 2016. They have a young and talented roster, led by quarterback Tyrod Taylor and running back LeSean McCoy.

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins are coming off a disappointing 2016 campaign, in which they went 10-6 but failed to make the playoffs. They’ll be led this season by quarterback Jay Cutler, who came out of retirement to sign with the team.

New England Patriots: The Patriots are the defending Super Bowl champions, and they’re once again favored to win the AFC East. They have one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history in Tom Brady, and a deep and talented roster all around.

New York Jets: The Jets are coming off a 5-11 season, and they don’t have much hope for improvement in 2017. They’ll be led by second-year quarterback Bryce Petty and a defense that includes Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson.

AFC North
Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens are coming off an 8-8 season, but they’re hopeful that they can return to the playoffs in 2017. They have a solid defense, led by linebacker Terrell Suggs, and a good young running back in Kenneth Dixon.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals are coming off a 6-9-1 season in which they missed the playoffs. They’ll be looking to rebound this year behind quarterback Andy Dalton and wide receiver A.J. Green.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns are coming off yet another losing season, going 1-15 in 2016. They don’t have much hope for improvement this year, but they do have some young talent on their roster, including quarterback DeShone Kizer and defensive end Myles Garrett.

Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers are coming off an 11-5 season in which they made it to the AFC Championship Game before losing to the Patriots. They’re once again one of the favorites to win the AFC this year, led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver Antonio Brown.
AFC South

Houston Texans: The Texans are coming off a 9-7 season in which they made it to the divisional round of the playoffs before losing to the Patriots. They’ll be looking to make another run this year behind quarterback Brock Osweiler and defensive end J Jadeveon Clowney..

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts are coming off an 8-8 season in which they missed the playoffs. They’ll be looking to return to form this year behind quarterback Andrew Luck and wide receiver T T.Y Hilton..

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars are coming off a 3-13 season, but they’re hopeful that they can turn things around this year under new head coach Doug Marrone. They have some young talents on their roster, including running back Leonard Fournette and defensive end Dante Fowler Jr..

Tennessee Titans: The Titans are coming off an 9-7 season in which they just missed out on the playoffs..

The teams in this conference include the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.
